SUB-DERMAL JOINTING FOR COMPOSITE PANELIZED BUILDING SYSTEM AND METHOD
Systems and methods are described herein for a panelized building assembly comprising a double skeleton of planar connectors, positioned parallel to and behind the inner and outer building surfaces of panels to be connected. The planar elements may be folded symmetrically about the bisected angle between adjacent surfaces so as to form a coherent and continuous double layer that can, in some cases, offers structural, fire, acoustical and waterproofing performance consistently between various panel. The connectors may extend into the mass of a block of material that forms a continuous edge around the perimeter of the panels, which is bonded continuously to the fiber-reinforced skin of the panel and to the core material that the inner and outer fiber reinforced skins are also continuously bonded to.
MULTI-PURPOSE STRUCTURAL PANELS AND SYSTEMS FOR ASSEMBLING STRUCTURES
The present invention is directed to a multi-purpose panel member which may be utilized as any surface or support beam in a structure. In a preferred embodiment, the panel may be extruded monolithically from aluminum. Also disclosed are systems for assembling structures from the panels utilizing a plurality of other components, which are also preferably extruded from aluminum.
Panel for sheathing system and method
The panel includes a water resistant barrier layer secured atop its outward facing surface. The water resistant barrier layer includes a skid resistant surface. The panels are made of lignocellulosic material. The water resistant and skid resistant surface may include indicia for aligning strips of tape or for aligning fasteners. A method for manufacturing the water resistant building panels is also disclosed and includes the steps of feeding paper onto a forming belt, depositing lignocellulosic material and the binding agent onto the forming belt so as to form a lignocellulosic mat, applying heat and pressure so as to impart the skid resistant surface on the paper, and cutting panels to predetermined sizes.
COMPOSITE STRUCTURE JOINING SYSTEM AND METHOD AND RELATED STRUCTURES
A composite structure joining system and method comprises a structural panel, preferably but not necessarily fabricated from structural composite materials, that further comprises a nesting C-joint feature that facilitates assembly of a plurality of panels of the invention to form a planar structure such as a wall. An embodiment of the present invention comprises a plurality of the panels of the invention, joined together using the C joint of the invention, captured in a frame. The frame structural elements may comprise metals such as aluminum or steel, or may be hand laid or extruded fiberglass as described in more detail below. The invention further comprises methods of manufacturing a plurality of structural panels of the invention. The method of the invention may be used to fabricate intermodal shipping containers that have superior structural and thermal characteristics, are lightweight, resulting in lower transportation costs and lower container costs.
Exterior wall panel and exterior wall panel assembly
The present disclosure concerns an exterior wall panel comprising a wall framework defining inner and outer wall surfaces and having peripheral edges. The exterior wall panel further comprises a vapor barrier membrane superposed to the inner wall surface and covering at least one peripheral edge and being secured thereto, a weather barrier membrane superposed to the outer wall surface and covering at least one peripheral edge and being secured thereto. The present disclosure also concerns an external wall panel assembly comprising a plurality of such external wall panels and a method for forming such an exterior wall panel assembly.
Wall-Building Element System and Building Element for Use in the System
Wall-building element system comprising sole elements, basic wall-building elements adapted to be assembled to a wall, and beams adapted to be fitted between each horizontal layer of the basic wall-building elements. The basic wall-building elements are prefabricated with a central, load bearing core member and form-stable layers of thermal insulation on both sides thereof. The core member and the thermal insulation layers are mutually adapted in a tongue-and-groove system while the beams are made in an “H”-profile corresponding thereto. The core member typically consists of a plate-shaped main body provided with laterally extending, vertically oriented ribs.
CROSS LAMINATED TIMBER WALL PANEL SYSTEM
In one aspect, a wall panel is provided that includes a cross laminated timber panel, a first extrusion, and a second extrusion. The cross laminated timber panel includes a top side, a bottom side, a first side, and a second side. The panel also includes a notch in the bottom side and a T-flange on the top side. A wall system is provided comprising a plurality of wall panels. A method of installing the wall panel system is also provided.
HORIZONTALLY AND VERTICALLY EXTENDABLE BUILDING STRUCTURE MODULE
There is provided a horizontally and vertically extendable building structure module that includes a panel, a structural frame and one or more beams. The panel may be designed to form or set into a floor, ceiling, wall, window, door or any other components that may cover surface of the building. The structural frame may be designed to provide the structural shape and strength and hold the panels. The beams may be designed to connect and align the structural frame. The horizontally and vertically extendable building structure module is configured to build a building structure without additional structural support. Because of the minimized number of components for the building structure, time and cost for building construction may be reduced.
Modular building system
A modular building construction system comprising a plurality of panels, each panel having two spaced apart sheets; an insulating core portion positioned between said spaced apart sheets, wherein edge portions of the spaced apart sheets define a hollow cavity, the cavity extending along peripheral portions of the panel wherein the panel comprises a length (l) and a height (h) wherein top and bottom channel members face outwardly and extend along the length (l) of the panel and are positioned in respective hollow cavities along in-use top and bottom peripheral portions of the panel respectively; and wherein first and second opposite side channels face outwardly and extend along the height (h) of the panel and are positioned in respective hollow cavities along each of the lateral peripheral portions of the panel respectively and wherein during use the channel members are adapted to be interconnected with one or more building elements positioned along said peripheral portions.
Modular barrier panel and construction system
A modular barrier panel and a barrier formed therewith and methods and systems for construction of the panel and barrier. The panel includes an aboveground portion and a base portion. The aboveground portion includes a grid-like configuration having a plurality of vents that are sized to limit passage of a human therethrough but that enable viewing through the panel. The base portion includes a plurality of side-by-side, waffle-shaped sections with openings therethrough. The panels can be cast on-site, cured overnight, and immediately installed in the barrier formation. The panels are installed in a trench and the base portions are encased in concrete; the openings in the base allow the concrete to flow to both sides of the panel. Sensors, including cameras and vibration sensors, may be installed in the base section or in the foundation concrete or on the aboveground portion to detect actions on, over, or under the barrier.
