Pre-stressed beams or panels
A method of manufacturing a pre-stressed beam or panel and the resulting beam or panel are described. The method includes providing a timber-based component (1); providing a pre-stressing member (9) arranged along the timber-based component; applying a tensile force to the pre-stressing member (9); providing concrete anchors (11a, 11b) at locations that are spaced apart along the timber-based component (1); coupling the pre-stressing member (9) to the concrete anchors (11a, 11b); and releasing the tensile force on the pre-stressing member (9) to transfer a compressive force to the timber-based component (1) through the concrete anchors (11a, 11b) to form a pre-stressed beam or panel.

Safety Device
An attachment device for attachment to a pathway comprising a body having: a top surface for receiving foot traffic thereon; at least one point of flexure; and at least one arm extending from the point of flexure with the arm moveable about the point of flexure, the at least one arm configured to engage the pathway or a structural member of the pathway, wherein when engaged, the at least one arm secures the device to the pathway, wherein engagement of the at least one arm results in the device being compressively secured to the pathway in between two component members of the pathway.

Reinforced structural insulation panel with corner blocks
A structural insulation panel (SIP) is made of a central insulation material or block core covered with cementitious material. The layers of cementitious material are reinforced with fiber mesh sheets, rebar and corner blocks. The corner blocks are held in thickened cementitious material edges by reinforcement pins that are fixed to the corner blocks. The corner blocks are accessible for lifting the panel and for assembling multiple panels to build a wall.

GRATING SEPARATION METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR SEPARATING GRATING
Grating is formed from longitudinal members and transverse members that are operatively coupled together. The longitudinal members may be described as bearing members and the transverse members may be described as cross members that extend between the bearing members. The separation system and process of the present disclosure separates an initial grating having an initial grating width into multiple gratings have gratings widths less than the initial grating width. The separation system includes a driven die assembly having opposing dies, each opposing die having knives and spacers which interact to separate the cross members of the grating to create multiple gratings as the same time. The knives may be set up in different configurations in order to create any number of gratings having flush cross members (e.g., flush with the bearing members) and/or overhanging cross members (e.g., hang over the bearing members).

Expanded metal for automotive interior parts
An expanded metal produced by repeated penetration of a movable cutting die including teeth into a metal sheet that is run through an expansion device in a feed direction, the expanded metal including a plurality of loops, wherein the loops include bars that envelop loop openings and that are connected in nodes, wherein each of the loops includes a loop opening length measured in the feed direction along a line from a node center to node another center of two nodes that are arranged behind one another in the feed direction, wherein each of the loops includes a loop opening width that is measured transversal to the feed direction along a line from a node center to a node center of two nodes that are arranged adjacent to each other transversal to the feed direction.
GRATE GROUNDING DEVICE
A grounding device, including a top plate including a central portion and a plurality of curved ends, the central portion of the top plate having a hole extending therethrough, a bottom plate including a central portion and a plurality of curved ends, the central portion of the bottom plate having a hole extending therethrough, a cap including a hole and a curved end adapted to retain a grounding wire, and a fastener extending through the holes of the top plate, the bottom plate, and the cap.
