Deformable structures collapsible tubular mast (CTM)
A deformable device includes a deformable beam or hinge having an extended state, a flattened state, and a rolled state if a beam, where a stiffness and strength of the deformable beam or the hinge in the extended state is greater than a different stiffness and strength of the deformable beam or the hinge in the flattened state. A cross section includes a first about V shape half and a second about V shape half. Each half includes a vertex with at least one curve extending into two walls at least one of the walls including a plurality of truss members, both of the walls extend into a joining edge. The first about V shape half and the second about V shape half are joined together at a seam of a joining edge of the first about V shape half and the second about V shape half.
CLEARSPAN FABRIC STRUCTURE
A clearspan structure including component systems, and methods of forming a clearspan structure including component systems, for mitigating hazards to personnel or equipment from explosions, fires, toxic material release, and other hazards in hazardous locations. The exemplary clearspan structure is also capable of withstanding environmental conditions such as snow loads and wind. The exemplary clearspan structure is, for example, a tent or fabric structure which includes a plurality of frame members forming a support system for the clearspan structure, and fabric roof portions and walls for enclosing the clearspan structure.

Pultruded Telescoping Arm Device
A support structure comprising a pultruded outer beam (12), a pultruded inner beam (14), a plurality of wear tabs (16) affixed to the inner beam, and a gear track (18) affixed to the inner beam. The outer beam is substantially hollow and adapted to receive the inner beam and the inner beam is shaped so that a portion of the inner beam extends nearly the entire height of the outer beam and a portion of the inner beam extends nearly the entire width of the outer beam, the plurality of wear tabs are located at one or more corners of the inner beam, and the gear track contacts a gear for facilitating movement of the inner beam.
DEFORMABLE STRUCTURES COLLAPSIBLE TUBULAR MAST (CTM)
A deformable device includes a deformable beam or hinge having an extended state, a flattened state, and a rolled state if a beam, where a stiffness and strength in the extended state is greater than a different stiffness and strength in the flattened state, the deformable beam or the hinge deformable along a long axis. An end face cross section transverse to the long axis includes a first periodic curved member which defines at least two shaped curves. A second periodic curved member defines at least two shaped curves. The second periodic curved member is mechanically coupled to the first periodic curved member at respective ends of the end face cross section. The first arc length of the first periodic curved member and the second arc length of the second periodic curved member are of about a same arc length.
