ADJUSTABLE HEADER
An adjustable header assembly includes a first piece of material and a second piece of material and at least one bracket. The first piece of material has a fixed length and the second piece of material has an adjustable length. In operation, the length of the second piece of material is adjusted until the second piece of material is proximate wall studs. The second piece of material is then coupled to the studs and the at least one bracket is coupled to the first and second pieces of material.
Artificial insulated log
An artificial insulated log that has outer and inner wood members that are glued to an inner core of rigid insulation. In addition to the glue, structural connectors are fitted on the top of the logs at specified intervals to provide additional structure support, Each of the wood pieces has a tongue and groove formed to receive other logs. In addition, the insulated core is also fitted with a tongue and groove for alignment. The outer, or exterior, wood member is curved to look like a natural log, The inner wood members are cut flat to for a flat interior wall. Formed corner logs can be used with regular logs to make a finished looking assembly for the building. The corners can be alternated or stacked, as desired.

BUILDING STUD, WALL STRUCTURE COMPRISING SUCH A BUILDING STUD AND A METHOD FOR FORMING A WALL STRUCTURE
Building stud (10) for forming a framework for mounting wall panels, comprising a first (12) and a second (14) flange portion and a web portion (16) interconnecting the flange portions. The flange portions comprise a planar, elongated wood fibre member (18, 20), and the web portion comprises a polymer based and/or cellulose fibre based sheet member (22) including a first (24) and a second (26) rectilinear line of weakness, which lines of weakness are parallel and along which the sheet member is foldable to enable folding the building stud from a retracted storage position to an expanded mounting position.
Insulated Engineered Structural Member
An engineered structural member for use as, for example a stud, and a method for producing an engineered structural member. The method includes placing two spaced-apart flange members, preferably from nominal dimension solid lumber, in a mold cavity, inserting a two-part mixture of polyurethane material between the flange members, closing the mold and applying pressure to density the two-part polyurethane material during curing, and removing the completed engineered structural member from the mold. Preferably, the multiple engineered structural members are produced in multiple mold cavities, either sequentially, for example, on a rotary molding machine, or simultaneously, for example, in a series of molds which are filled and closed together. The engineered structural member provides increased insulation capacity to a structure while reducing structure weight, improving strength and improving dimensional instability.

In operation, the length of the second piece of material is adjusted until the second piece of material is proximate wall studs. The second piece of material is then coupled to the studs and the at least one bracket is coupled to the first and second pieces of material.

Fire-rated wall and ceiling system
The present application is directed toward fire-rated wall construction components and wall systems for use in building construction. Embodiments can include tracks for holding studs which incorporate various geometries capable of receiving fire-retardant material, flat straps for use between tracks and fluted wall components, fire sponges for use in fluted wall components, and tracks with protruding grooves or other structures which prevent unwanted air movement between a wallboard component and the track.
