Reinforced Concrete Structure
20210381238 · 2021-12-09 ·

Reinforced concrete is protected from corrosion without conducting an operation involving exposure of rebar. A reinforced concrete structure is provided with a storage part that is formed inside concrete of the reinforced concrete structure, and that retains an anticorrosion solution. The anticorrosion solution diffuses and permeates through the concrete from the storage part, prevents the concrete in the vicinity of rebar from drying, and passivates the rebar.

High strength, low density columnar structure

A high strength, low density modular columnar structure. In the preferred embodiment, each module is a prism or cuboid having three or four vertical rectangular sides which meet in the module corners. The module ends perpendicular to the sides are the module faces. At least one face has a brace panel. The brace panels and the face are preferably the same shape, but off-set. A plurality of preferably triangular brace arms extends to the module corners. Each brace panel is preferably provided with a centrally located aperture. The lower face of each module is preferably provided with a lip, while the upper face is configured to receive the lip. A cylindrical column extends vertically through the center of each module, and a plurality of struts extends radially from each column. A stack of modules may be secured with a bolt run through the module apertures, an adhesive, or simply gravity.

A building module for use in construction of a building comprising a deck oriented in a horizontal plane and a plurality of hollow structural members extending downwardly from around a periphery of the deck. A method of constructing a building comprising placing a plurality of prefabricated modules according to a floor plan to form a story of the building, pouring concrete into the hollow structural members of the plurality of modules to form structural columns, pouring concrete onto the decks of the plurality of prefabricated modules for form structural slabs, and allowing the structural columns and structural slabs to set to complete the story of the building. Embodiments include a plurality of techniques for sealing adjacent prefabricated modules and for installing a balcony on the prefabricated modules.

An elongated building element (14) having a pair of longitudinally extending generally parallel co-extensive side walls (15) joined by transverse webs (16). The walls (15) and webs (16) enclose a longitudinally extending space (30) within which there is located a tube (31). The tube (31) is connected to the walls (15) and webs (16) by flanges (33). The tube (31) provides a space (33) with the spaces (30, 33) being intended to be filled with concrete. The building element (14) is intended to be attached to light elements (14) to form a wall.

Apparatus and method for reinforcing a partially submerged structural element

An apparatus and method for reinforcement of partially submerged structural elements such as piles, posts, pillars, and pipes are disclosed. The apparatus includes an upper unit which may be fixed to the structural element above the waterline and a lower unit which is suspended from the upper unit via cables or other support members. The apparatus enables a reinforcing sleeve structure to be constructed in multiple segmented layers from above the waterline which the sleeve structure is lowered beneath the waterline. The lower unit guides the lower end of the sleeve structure down around the submerged portion of the structural element and supports the weight of the sleeve structure until it is fixed in place and filled with concrete or another reinforcing core filler material.
