20240254771 · 2024-08-01 · ·

A timber-concrete composite floor or roof system connector that provides high slip modulus stiffness and resiliency through a combination of mechanical and adhesive connections to a timber substrate, ductile structural behavior under ultimate loading, and an integrated method for chair support of concrete slab reinforcing members during wet concrete placement.

Frost Protected Foundation System and Method of Using
20190048555 · 2019-02-14 ·

A shallow foundation form and method of using are provided. The form is useful for pouring concrete slab foundations and results in a frost protected foundation with improved thermal characteristics. The form may include brackets to hold rebar at various locations. The brackets are designed to avoid the use of fastening devices, such as wire ties. When used to pour a concrete foundation, the form and brackets reduce construction material input costs, reduce the amount of skilled labor required, and reduce the amount of time required to pour a foundation.

A reinforcing element includes a first and a second reinforcing mat having metal mat rods, which are welded at angles to each other at junction points, which reinforcing mats are held spaced apart from each other at a normal distance by rod-shaped spacers with respect to the first mat plane and the second mat plane of the reinforcing mats. The spacers are metal and are permanently connected to individual mat rods of the first and second reinforcing mat by welding connections, preferably resistance welding connections, wherein at least individual spacers protrude outward at least beyond the first mat plane of the first reinforcing mat in a direction pointing away from the second reinforcing mat by a first protrusion length. Further, a double wall is furnished with the reinforcing element and a method produces the reinforcing element and the double wall.

A rebar coupler can have a coupler body with a hollow interior, and a first end and a second end that are open to the hollow interior to receive rebar into opposing ends of the hollow interior along a longitudinal axis. One or more grout ports can be included on the coupler body, including a first grout port on the first end of the coupler body. The coupler body can include a set screw, a removable stop, a narrowed first end, a removable cap, or other features.

STRUCTURAL SUPPORT SYSTEM FOR ROCKWORK WITH MECHANICAL FASTENING OF ADJACENT CHIP ASSEMBLIES

Rebar-based support assemblies that can be fabricated without the need for on-site welding. The assemblies include a number of differing sized and shaped crimps used in place of welds to provide rebar assembly-to-rebar assembly connections. In some examples, a crimp for mechanically joining rebar for use in a support system for a physical structure includes a body with at least two recessed surfaces each configured for receiving a respective first and second piece of rebar; and a pair of spaced-apart arms at least partially enclosing an interior space of the body including the at least two recessed surfaces, a first tip and a second tip of the respective spaced-apart arms each defining a respective first and second opening to the interior space, in a first configuration.

A prefabricated modular reinforced concrete building system includes panel assemblies for foundations, walls, decks, and roofs designed to be built out in a manufacturing facility, shipped to a job site, and filled with concrete. Panel assemblies incorporate a space frame to ensure structural integrity during shipping and during concrete fill. Space frames can include structural columns, rebar mats, spacers, straps, and skin panels. Panel assemblies may be manufactured to contain architectural interior/external finishes, windows/doors, and pre-installed utility distribution systems.

Corner bead clip for attaching to steel members
10156066 · 2018-12-18 · ·

An improved corner bead clip is provided for use in attaching corner beads to structural steel members where fireproofing material can be applied to the corner beads. The clip includes jaws that can attach to the steel members with a friction fit, and a body attached to the jaws where the body has notches for receiving longitudinal wires of the corner beads to hold them in place.

Wind turbine assembling method and wind turbine assembled according to said method

A wind turbine tower that may be assembled fast, including a nacelle and a rotor, the tower comprising at least two stackable annular sections made of concrete connected through a main connecting arrangement adapted to withstand loads induced by the wind turbine rotor, and an auxiliary connector.
