Roofing System With Modular Tiles
20210054629 · 2021-02-25 ·

A roofing system for forming a roof includes a plurality of tiles. Each tile has a frame at a perimeter of the tile, and the frame includes an upstream element, an opposed downstream element, and opposed first and second side elements, thereby bounding a central panel area. Each tile further includes a side trim, a batten, and a ridge cap. When the tiles, side trim, batten, and ridge cap are arranged to form a roof, the batten is secured at a lower edge of the roof and directed upward to receive the downstream elements of the tiles, the side trim is secured at a side edge of the roof and directed laterally to receive one of the first and second side elements of the tiles, and the ridge cap is secured at a ridge of the roof and directed downward to lap over the upstream elements of the tiles.

Compositions

Compositions such as concrete compositions are described for use in building materials and products. The composition may comprise an aggregate composition comprising a particulate suppressing component and a cement. The composition may have an impact resistance of at least Class 1 as measured under ANSI/FM 4473. Methods of preparing and using such compositions are also described.

A system for mounting glass roof tiles on a roof construction includes a roof batten, an S-shaped bracket defining a first U-shaped portion and a second U-shaped portion, a sealing plate and two glass roof tiles arranged side by side along a first longitudinal direction defined by the roof batten. The first U-shaped portion of the bracket is clamped onto the roof batten and retained in relation thereto solely by means of friction and gravity. An end portion of the sealing plate and a lower end portion of each of the glass roof tiles are snugly fit into the second U-shaped portion of the bracket. The glass roof tiles can be mounted on the roof construction in an easy and fast manner without the use of fastening means or tools.

Roofing, cladding or siding product

This invention relates to a roofing, cladding, or siding module, comprising an underlapping region extending from a head edge of the module and an exposed region extending from a foot edge of the module. The length of the foot edge defining the length of the module. The underlapping region is adapted to be substantially covered by the exposed region of an adjacent or overlapping module when installed on a building surface. The module is formed of at least one layer of extruded material. The layer so formed comprises at least 40% w/w filler and/or reinforcement, and one or more polymer(s).

System and method for installing roof tiles

A method for installing a roof tile covering on a roof structure comprising: providing a plurality of roof tiles comprising a porcelain body and an attachment hole above the roof structure; placing and fixing a part of the plurality of roof tiles onto the roof structure, forming a horizontal row; interrupting the horizontal row at a distance from a hip or valley of the roof structure; cutting a roof tile to provide a triangular or trapezoidal piece comprising one or more attachment holes; placing and fixing the triangular or trapezoidal piece onto the roof structure over the hip or valley, leaving a gap between the triangular or trapezoidal piece and the plurality of roof tiles in the horizontal row; and placing and fixing at least one roof tile on the roof structure over the gap, wherein the roof tile covering comprises a plurality of horizontal rows of roof tiles.
