Low slope roofing system

A roofing system, comprising: at least one strap spaced on centers horizontally up the slope of a roof deck; at least one bead of adhesive applied to the at least one strap; at least two metal roofing panels placed on the at least one bead of adhesive applied to the at least one strap; and at least two fasteners attached to the at least two metal roofing panels and into the roof deck at a top and perimeter of the at least two metal roofing panels.

METAL ROOF ABOVE SHEATHING VENTILATION SYSTEM

A spacer designed to be inserted between the roofing panel clip and the sheathing is provided. The spacer has a configuration of openings and slots on the spacer to allow it to be used with a wide variety of panel clips. The opening for the fastener, the outer rim, and the walls of the spacer are designed to seal against the sheathing and provide tiers of protection to prevent water from contacting the fasteners. The spacers are designed to have lips, grooves, and recessed areas that coincide with the walls to accommodate stacking to allow for different channel heights without having to stock multiple spacer sizes. Also, the preferred embodiment of the spacer is rounded to prevent water from collecting along the edges of the spacer and instead flow down the slope of the roof. Finally, the spacer is specifically designed to have one spacer per panel clip.

A spacer has an elongated body having a first end and a second end that are spaced along a longitudinal axis. The elongated body has a first side and an opposed second side that are spaced along a transverse axis that is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis and a third side and an opposed fourth side that are spaced along a thickness axis that is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis and the transverse axis. At least one channel extends into the elongated body from the third side of the elongated body and toward the fourth side of the elongated body. The at least one channel extends along the transverse axis from the first side to the second side of the elongated body. Each channel has opposed ends each having a width, and a neck between the opposed ends. The neck is narrower than the width of each of the opposed ends.

The present invention provides a magnetic device and method for installing metal roofing panels, particularly in valley areas. The device includes a platform with one or more magnets. The installation method involves applying a bonding agent to a valley area, placing the roofing panel, positioning the one or more magnets, adjusting the magnets to match the seam angles, and engaging magnetic force to secure the panel while the bonding agent cures. The device's handle facilitates easy removal after curing, ensuring a durable chemical bond that prevents panel movement from thermal expansion and contraction. This system is compatible with standing seam roofing patterns, including V-ribs, pencil ribs, striated, flat, and bead ribs, enhancing panel alignment, durability, and ease of installation.
