Metal roofing system
A retrofit roofing system with a roof furring having a substantially flat top and L-shaped side with openings that correspond to the raised portions of the existing metal roof panels, at least two fasteners that penetrate the L-shaped side through the existing metal roof panels and into the at least one roof perlins, a layer of adhesive on the substantially flat top portion of the roof furring; and at least one new metal roof panel on top of the layer of adhesive. There is also a new roofing system having at least two roof perlins with a bottom portion attached to a roof deck by fasteners and a top portion, a layer of adhesive attached to the top portion of the at least two roof perlins and a metal roofing panel on top of the layer of adhesive attached to the top portion of the at least two roof perlins.
System for re-roofing asphalt shingled roofs
A method of roofing a bare roof deck includes applying asphalt shingles and metal flashings to a wood deck of a roof. The flashings applied are edge drip for edges and gable ends, metal valleys, and step flashing for wall to roof junctions. Asphalt capping of ridges or hips are applied. Metal panels overtop of existing asphalt roof are applied thereby creating a metal overlay configured such that substantially all of the asphalt shingles are covered with a metal panel for preventing further degradation of asphalt components by shielding from sunlight, UV rays, excessive moisture, snow, wind, ice, and fire. No further flashings are installed thereby the metal panel overlay is configured to create a semi-watertight seal such that the metal panel overlay together with the asphalt roof is adapted to create a watertight seal.
Enhanced roofing system
A roof system includes a roof deck, a weighted cover board disposed upwardly adjacent the roof deck and a plurality of fasteners coupling the weighted cover board to the roof deck.
Method of securing roofing membrane using lightly adhesive release layer positioned between hook and loop fasteners
A hook and loop system for attaching a roofing membrane into the top of a building insulation board including a roofing membrane with a fleece backing having a release sheet on the fleece backing. The release sheet is manually removed in the field to attach the fleece backing directly onto a layer of hooks that have been pre-attached onto the top of the insulation board. The release layer may be somewhat sticky, yet not adhere too tightly to the fleece layer such that its removal does not damage the fleece backing. The release layer may also be pre-rolled together with the fleece backed roofing membrane and shipped together as a unit into the field.
Adjustable brackets for installing building attachments
Roof brackets for attaching a structure such as a patio cover to a building, and methods for installing the brackets. The brackets have a saddle for receiving a support beam of the structure. The brackets can be attached to the building roof, but do not penetrate the roof substrate, thus preventing leakage and other structural problems. The roof brackets comprise a plate that is installed between the roof substrate and the shingles or tile on the roof. The brackets are available in different configurations compatible with standard roof pitches for easy installation. One roof bracket has a riser so that the saddle is lifted above the roof. Another roof bracket is configured so that when installed the saddle is located beyond the edge of the roof. Other brackets can be attached to the rafters under the roof, are available in different configurations depending on standard roof pitch, and they are configured to extend below and outward from the fascia. Any of these brackets are available in versions which are adjustable by the installer to provide a level saddle even in situations where the roof does not have a standard pitch, whether by design or due to inaccurate installation.
FRAMELESS CONSTRUCTION USING SINGLE AND DOUBLE PLENUM PANELS
A method of constructing a building comprising the steps of attaching a first panel to a second panel. The first panel is one of a single plenum panel and a multi-plenum panel and the second panel is one of a single plenum panel and a multi-plenum panel.
Enhanced roofing system
A roof system includes a roof deck, a weighted cover board disposed upwardly adjacent the roof deck and a plurality of fasteners coupling the weighted cover board to the roof deck.
