A method for mounting a fixture on a membrane-covered roof involves a bracket with wings coated on upper surfaces with a material rendering the wings heat weldable to roofing membrane. The bracket is placed on the roof membrane, and a transition membrane with a cutout for a raised portion of the bracket is placed over the bracket and heat welded to both the upper wing surfaces of the bracket and to the roof membrane.

A roof integrated photovoltaic system includes a starter bar having a foot base and configured to be installed to a roof deck, a plurality of water shedding layers, and a photovoltaic module. One of the plurality of water shedding layers is configured to be installed over the foot base of the starter bar, and one of another of which is configured to overlap and be installed over the one of the plurality of water shedding layers. The system further includes a foot module configured to be attached to an upper portion of the photovoltaic module. A lower portion of the photovoltaic module is configured to align with the foot base of the starter bar, and the foot module is configured to be affixed on a last overlapping layer of the plurality of water shedding layers to the roof deck.

A system including a first roofing material installed on the roof deck; a second roofing material installed on the roof deck, adjacent to the first roofing material, where the second roofing material includes: a first layer comprising silicone; and a first substrate, where the first layer partially covers a surface of the first substrate, thereby to provide at least a first area of the surface of the first substrate not covered by the first layer, where the first roofing material overlaps at least a portion of the first area; and a flashing material including silicone, where the flashing material covers a portion of each of: the first roofing material, and the first layer of the second roofing material.
