Edge flashing for flat roof with functional surface material
Various types of flashing for use at the edge of flat roofs, decking or green roofs are presented. In exemplary embodiments, flashing may be provided at the edge of a roof to retain or provide an edge treatment for an aesthetic and functional surface material, such as, for example, a cast paver, while at the same time allowing for water drainage.
WATERTIGHT ANCHORING FOR FASTENING ELEMENTS TO A BUILDING AND ASSOCIATED WORKING METHOD
Watertight anchoring (2) for securely fastening elements (3, 4) to a building (1), comprising abase or support {6) anchored in a supporting structure (7) of the building (1); a heat-insulating layer (17}; a first watertight layer (25) applied over the heat-insulating layer (17} and the base or support (6); a bearing structure (28) fixed to the base or support (6) and a second watertight layer (38) applied over parts of the aforementioned bearing profiles (29) and over parts (39) of the first watertight layer (25) that, are adjacent to the respective bearing profiles (29).

Method and apparatus for excluding rodents and other animals from a structure
A Drip Edge Configuration (aka Rodent Proof Drip Edge System) is designed for residential use to cover the construction gap above the fascia to prevent rodent entry and to direct water into the gutters. The Drip Edge Configuration also comes with a Roof Return Configuration to seal the gap where the soffit meets the shingles. Finally, The Drip Edge Configuration also has the option for venting in the rare occasion where a house has no soffit or additional venting is required. An improved drip edge which includes holes in the fascia-facing face which allows the drip edge to be screwed from the face using screws with rubber washers for a water proof seal just as used on a metal roof for a rodent proof solution. An improved drip edge which includes also galvanized steel and is flexible enough to cut and bend for proper installation to have rodent proof inside and outside corners. A roof return configuration to seal the construction gap where the soffit meets the shingles.
MEMBRANE INSTALLATION METHODS
A method includes obtaining a roofing membrane. A first layer of the roofing membrane is applied along a length of a roofing substrate covering a first portion of the roofing substrate. At least a first edge of the first layer is fastened to the roofing substrate. A second layer of the roofing membrane is applied over the first layer along the length of the roofing substrate such that a first edge of the second layer overlies the second edge of the first layer. The first edge of the second layer and the second edge of the first layer are fastened to the roofing substrate using a second fastener in a fastening zone along the length the roofing substrate. The second layer is reoriented such that the second layer overlies the fastening zone and covers a second portion of the roofing substrate adjacent the first portion of the roofing substrate.
Roof edge blocking with cleat
A roof edge blocking with cleat having a blocking assembly with a top flange, a first lateral flange, a second lateral flange, an anchoring flange, and a locking tab; and a cover assembly having a cover top flange, an angular wall, a side flange, and a channel, whereby the cover assembly mounts onto the blocking assembly. The first lateral flange perpendicularly extends from the top flange. An upper wall and a lower wall of the anchoring flange extend perpendicularly from the first and second lateral flanges respectively, and are substantially parallel to the top flange. The upper wall and the lower wall are joined at the anchoring flange to define an elongated aperture. The locking tab extends outwardly from the second lateral flange defining a first predetermined angle. The first lateral flange has a first predetermined height and the second lateral flange has a second predetermined height.
Fascia with seal for drip protection
A fascia with seal for drip protection preferably includes a fascia and a strip of compressible tape. The fascia includes an anchor bar and a cover. The cover snaps unto the anchor bar. The anchor bar includes a vertical portion, a roof flange, an upper cover clip and a lower cover clip. The strip of compressible tape is applied to an inside surface of the vertical portion, below a bottom of the roof flange. The top peripheral edge of a building is not perfectly flat. However, the flexibility of the anchor bar and the compressibility of the strip of compressible tape conforms to any dips in the roof membrane, which over lays the top peripheral edge of the building. A plurality of fasteners are used to secure the anchor bar to the top peripheral edge of the building to ensure that there is not a leak path for any water.
DOUBLE COVERAGE ROOF WALL FLASHING WITH CAVITY
A drip edge having a flange configured to rest against a roof surface following installation on a perimeter of the roof surface and a flap hingedly extending from a terminal edge of the flange configured to be positioned a predefined distance towards the center of the roof surface, as measured from an edge of the roof surface on which the flange is configured to be mounted, following installation of the flange on the roof surface, wherein the flap and flange, in combination, form a cavity configured to retain a shingle therein, thereby improving the strength with which the starter shingle is secured to the roof surface against wind uplift while improving its resilience to moisture intrusion and easing installation while also rendering shingle alignment more consistent.
PRESSURE-SENSITIVE PVC COVER STRIP
A PVC-based cover strip designed to bond to non-PVC materials as well as PVC materials includes a PVC layer coated with a barrier effective to prevent migration of plasticizers from the PVC layer. The barrier layer, in turn, is coated with a primer and subsequently a pressure-sensitive adhesive. The barrier layer is generally a polar polymer, such as acrylonitrile rubber which resists migration of phthalate plasticizers. The pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is a pressure-sensitive adhesive suitable for use in roofing applications.
Second layer roofing drip edge with protruding edge
Hereby is disclosed a second layer roofing drip edge with a protruding edge. The drip edge covers an existing drip edge and shingles at the eave and rake prior to the installation of the next roofing system. The protruding edge may be notched on one section and not the other section as they abut. The protruding edge bottom fold or bottom face of the drip edge may be fabricated with a groove or projection preventing capillary action of water across the plane and dropping behind the gutter.
