Frame Supported Ribbed Foam Composite Panel
A frame supported, ribbed foam composite panel comprised of a cladding or sheathing cover with a polyurethane foam bonded to its backside and ribs extending from its backside and and the foam bonds the panel to frame members to further stiffen the panel. The ribs also prevent a panel with a weaker cover from warping and when several panels are bonded together with the same foam the panels have structural continuity.
Reverse ballasted roof system
A converted reverse ballasted roof system is provided including a structural roof beam. Insulation is positioned upwardly adjacent the structural roof beam, and a first waterproofing membrane is arranged upwardly adjacent the first waterproofing membrane. A weighted cover board is disposed upwardly adjacent the first waterproofing membrane and a second waterproofing membrane is installed upwardly adjacent the weighted cover board. The first water proofing membrane and the second waterproofing membrane substantially seal the weighted cover board.
Systems, methods, and apparatuses for insulating adjacent to a top of an attic
An insulation system for hanging insulation in a truss is disclosed and includes a first rail configured to be installed on a first truss and a second rail configured to be installed on a second truss spaced apart from the first truss. A first cavity is established between the first rail and the second rail. Further, the first cavity is configured to receive and engage a first insulation batt.
Hybrid sealed attic insulation and ventilation system
A sealed attic insulating and roof ventilating system includes a plenum formed in part by a barrier material attached to adjacent pairs of rafters and having a radiant or reflective upper surface and a corrugated lower surface to which an insulation material may be secured. This arrangement creates an uninterrupted air chamber or ventilation plenum between the barrier material, the adjacent rafters, and the roof decking through which exterior air can circulate unimpeded from the lower vents to the upper vents of the roof. The circulation through the ventilation plenum prevents moisture from accumulating or condensing under the roof decking and warping the roof decking, which ultimately leads to deterioration of the roof decking and failure of the roof covering, and eliminates ice damming on the top surface of the roof covering.
SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND APPRATUSES FOR INSULATING ADJACENT TO A TOP OF AN ATTIC
An insulation system and method comprising an insulation layer, an atmospheric regulation layer, a structural support, and an external surface; wherein the atmospheric regulation layer is supported by the structural support, wherein the insulation layer is located between the atmospheric regulation layer and the external surface, wherein the atmospheric regulation layer has a water vapor permeability of not greater than 3 perms at a relative humidity of 25% as measured by ASTM E96 Procedure A Dry Cup, and a water vapor permeability of at least 6 perms at a relative humidity of 75% as measured by ASTM E96 Procedure B Wet Cup, wherein the atmospheric regulation layer has a fire class A rating as measured by ASTM E84, and wherein the continuous atmospheric regulation layer has a ACH50 value of not greater than 10, wherein ACH50 represents an air exchange at 50 Pascals.
