Awning system
An awning system having miter connectors suitable for attaching to portions of T-slot tubing members is disclosed. The awning system can be shipped by conventional shipping mechanisms, does not require welding, and does not require a flat-bed truck for transport. Also, the awning system can then be assembled and installed on-site, rather than being shipped in a fully pre-assembled state. The awning system uses proprietary tubing members and (in most embodiments) a miter connector to form an awning frame.
AWNING ASSEMBLY
An awning assembly for use with a vehicle. The awning comprising an elongate base attachable to the vehicle, the base having a first end and an opposing second end, a portion of the second end of the base being magnetic or responsive to magnetic force. Arms are attached at the first and/or second end of the base, being pivotable relative to the base between a stowed position and a deployed position. A portion of each arm being magnetic or responsive to magnetic force. A flexible sheet associated with the arms, which in the deployed positon with the arms extending away from the base so that the flexible sheet provides cover to an area beneath the arms. In the stowed position, the arms are located adjacent the base so that the magnetic portions of the base and the arms connect, thereby securing the arms to the base.
Retractable sun shade
A retractable sun shade, comprising at least one fabric section affixed to a boom, the boom supported and slideably engaged to a track at an intermediate portion of the boom, the track supported by a frame, and at least one flexible drawing element affixed to the boom at the intermediate portion, for drawing the boom in a first direction along the track to extend the sun shade and for drawing the boom in an opposite direction along the track to retract the sun shade.

Plane Door Frame Canopy
A removable canopy, such as for placement above an entry into a vehicle, includes a brace having releasable mounting features for mounting to the vehicle. The canopy further includes a linkage extending from the brace and convertible from a folded configuration to an extended configuration and a cross bar connected to the linkage so as to be nearer the brace when the linkage is in the folded configuration than when the linkage is in the extended configuration. A sheet is connected to the cross bar and the linkage so as to be folded when the linkage is in the folded configuration and extended when the linkage is in the extended configuration.
Privacy screen
Disclosed is an outdoor privacy screen for space-dividing residential and commercial landscapes with innovatively, snap fasteners that attach to a rigid horizontal support bar which suspends, for breeze-propelled, independent and not interconnected for motion, a decorative fabric panel that is easily secured, removed, and interchanged by means of sliding the panel's top hem pocket onto and across the bar. The fabric panel bottom edge may overlap an additional panel top edge to form a louver arrangement affording privacy; sunlight mitigation; and, airflow allowance for the creation of a wind resistant privacy partition.

Intelligent umbrella or robotic shading system having telephonic communication capabilities
An intelligent umbrella comprises shading elements, a support assembly, coupled to the one or more shading elements, to provide support for the one or more shading elements, the support assembly comprising one or more microphones to capture audio commands. The intelligent umbrella further includes one or more processors, one or more memory modules and a cellular telecommunications transceiver, and a base assembly, coupled to the support assembly, to provide contact with a surface. Computer-readable instructions stored in the memory modules are executed by a processor to convert the captured audio commands into one or more audio files, generate one or more analog and/or digital phone transmission files based at least in part on the converted one or more audio files, and communicate the one or more analog and/or digital phone transmission files via the cellular transceiver to a base station to initiate transmission of a telephone call.
