SPRAYABLE HIGH VISCOSITY COSMETIC FORMULATION
20200230035 · 2020-07-23 ·

The invention relates to an anhydrous cosmetic or dermatological formulation comprising a viscose lipid-containing preparation and propellant gas consisting essentially of one or more substances selected from hydrofluorocarbons, n-butane, isobutane and propane. The formulation permits application to the skin by spraying of an otherwise nonsprayable preparation. The formulation is free from readily volatile solvents, surfactants, and preferably free from silicones.

Personal Care Composition With Increased Vapor Release

Provided herein is a personal care composition that can exhibit an increased vapor release while maintaining physical stability and texture. The personal care composition can contain from about 35% to about 90% petrolatum, from about 20% to about 50% of an olfactory composition, and a gelling agent mixture. The gelling agent mixture can contain dibutyl lauroyl glutamide, dibutyl ethylhexanoyl glutamide, and a solvent selected from the group consisting of pentylene glycol, propylene glycol, hexylene glycol, 3-methyl-1,3-butanediol, 3-methyl-1,2-butanediol, 1,5-pentanediol, and combinations thereof. The personal care composition can exhibit a vapor release of from about 35 mg to about 300 mg at 8 hours and can have an Instability Index of less than about 0.8.

Personal Care Composition With Increased Vapor Release

Provided herein is a personal care composition that can exhibit an increased vapor release while maintaining physical stability and texture. The personal care composition can have from about 35% to about 90% petrolatum, an additional microcrystalline wax having a needle penetration at 25 C. of from about 35 to about 75 dmm, from about 1% to about 8% of a gelling agent mixture, and from about 20% to about 50% of an olfactory composition, all by weight of the composition.

METHODS AND KITS FOR REMOVING CALCULUS USING A NON-ENZYMATIC, HYDROGEN PEROXIDE DECOMPOSITION CATALYST

Methods and kits for removing calculus from a tooth, wherein the method can include applying a component A to the tooth, wherein component A comprises a hydrogen peroxide or a precursor thereto; applying a component B to the tooth, wherein component B comprises a non-enzymatic, hydrogen peroxide decomposition catalyst for generating oxygen gas; wherein components A and B are applied simultaneously or sequentially to the tooth, thereby generating oxygen gas to soften and/or loosen at least part of the calculus on the tooth; and removing at least a part of the calculus from the tooth.

Aerosol antiperspirant product

An antiperspirant aerosol product having good environmental sustainability and comprising an anhydrous antiperspirant aerosol composition comprising an AP active comprising a basic aluminium chloride compound of formula Al.sub.2(OH).sub.4.4Cl.sub.1.6 to Al.sub.2(OH).sub.4.9Cl.sub.1.1, water soluble calcium salt and amino acid, and an aerosol dispenser comprising a container body, an aerosol valve, and a valve actuator; characterised in that the product has a Combined Sustainability Index (CSI) of less than 3.0, where:
CSI=Al.sub.F+VOC.sub.F+M.sub.CB/N
Al.sub.F being the weight (in centigrams) of aluminium expelled per spray;
VOC.sub.F being the weight of VOC (in grams) expelled per spray;
M.sub.CB being the weight of metal (in grams) in the container body; and
N is the number of spray applications possible from the fully charged product, each figure being based on a spray duration of 2 seconds.

NO containing compositions

Disclosed are metal organic framework materials (MOFs), comprising an extra-framework NO releasing compound within the internal pores and/or channels of the MOF, the NO-releasing compounds and their preparation and uses. The MOFs and NO-releasing compounds are capable of releasing NO on application of an external stimulus and may provide materials with multiple modes of antibacterial and/or drug action.

Microcapsules containing a gas-releasing photolabile compound and uses thereof

The present invention relates to water-dispersible microcapsules that include an oil phase, e.g. a perfume, containing a photolabile compound capable of generating a gas upon exposure to light. The gas is able to cause an extension or the breaking of the microcapsule allowing the release of the oil phase and thus increasing the long-lastingness of the odor perception. The present invention concerns also the use of such microcapsules in perfumery as well as the perfuming compositions or perfumed articles that include such microcapsules therein to provide a prolonged release of fragrant molecules.
