COMPACT SHAMPOO COMPOSITION CONTAINING SULFATE-FREE SURFACTANTS
A clear or translucent, stable, compact shampoo composition exhibiting good wet conditioning. The shampoo contains a cationic polymer and a surfactant system. The cationic polymer has an average molecular weight from about 50,000 g/mol to about 1,200,000 g/mol. The sulfate system contains an amino acid based surfactant and is substantially free of sulfate-based surfactants. The shampoo also has a relatively low viscosity.
Modified Formula for Hydrophilic Foam
The present invention provides a modified formula to make a hydrophilic foam. In some embodiments this modified formula adds a filler which causes the foam to become less absorptive, which has the benefit of making available to the skin more makeup or other products, while also providing a superior esthetic application of makeup on the skin. In other embodiments the modified formula makes the hydrophilic foam easier to clean and reduces the staining propensity of the foam. In other embodiments the modified formula uses an additive to the properties or usability of the foam in some way. Providing the filler and additive can be done in combination or separately depending on the desired benefits or properties of the foam. In some embodiments the foam is fashioned into shape suitable for makeup application.
Topical compositions and methods of using the same
The present invention generally relates to topical compositions and methods of using the same. The topical compositions may comprise a hydrophilic composition and a hydrophobic composition in admixture. The hydrophobic composition may include a nitric oxide-releasing compound such as, for example, a diazeniumdiolate functionalized co-condensed silica particle. In some embodiments, the topical composition may be self-emulsifying. Further described herein are kits comprising a hydrophilic composition and a hydrophobic composition.

Thermally opening stable core/shell microcapsules
The present invention provides a microcapsule comprising a shell and a core. The core comprises at least one active ingredient and at least one surface-modified disintegrant.
Treatment of keratinized tissues
Described are methods for treating a keratinized tissue condition in a subject in need thereof. The method may include providing the subject including the keratinized tissue condition. The method may include conducting one or more treatment cycles on the keratinized tissue. Each treatment cycle may include contacting the keratinized tissue with an acid-activated gas-generating composition. Each treatment cycle may include contacting the keratinized tissue with an acid composition. Each treatment cycle may include allowing the acid composition and the acid-activated gas-generating composition to react effective to generate a gas at the keratinized tissue. The one or more treatment cycles may be effective to at least partly ameliorate the keratinized tissue condition in the subject.
Carbon dioxide shampoo apparatus and method of use thereof
The invention comprises a method of making and/or using a shampoo, comprising the steps of: placing shampoo into a container; combining a carbon dioxide precursor with the shampoo; sealing the container to yield a sealed container; and forming carbon dioxide inside the sealed container from the carbon dioxide precursor, the carbon dioxide formed in the sealed container comprising a concentration of greater than one thousand parts per million. Optionally and preferably, the sealed container includes a finger operated valve to release the shampoo from the container and at least one of a carbonic acid, a bicarbonate, and/or a carbonate as the carbon dioxide precursor, where a reaction forms at least one-half of dissolved carbon dioxide in the sealed container.
SELF-FOAMING CLEANSING COMPOSITION CONTAINING CLOBETASOL PROPIONATE, AND USE THEREOF IN THE TREATMENT OF PSORIASIS
A self-foaming composition for a topical application is described. The composition can include a medium which is cosmetically- or pharmaceutically-compatible with a topical application, and clobetasol propionate. The composition can include a small quantity of foaming surfactants. The composition includes: at least one intermediate composition B including a gas-generating agent; at least one intermediate composition A including an agent for activating the gas-generating agent; and clobetasol propionate being present in at least one of the intermediate compositions A and B. Also described, is a kit or a single container including a plurality of compartments including such a composition.
Makeup setting mousse
A method of treating keratinous substrates, includes applying a makeup setting composition to a keratinous substrate having makeup formed thereon. The makeup setting composition includes a gas phase dispersed in a condensed phase. The condensed phase includes a water-soluble or water-dispersible film former. Kits and mousse-forming compositions are also provided.
NO containing compositions
Disclosed are metal organic framework materials (MOFs), comprising an extra-framework NO releasing compound within the internal pores and/or channels of the MOF, the NO-releasing compounds and their preparation and uses. The MOFs and NO-releasing compounds are capable of releasing NO on application of an external stimulus and may provide materials with multiple modes of antibacterial and/or drug action.
