HANDRAIL FOR STAIRCASE
The invention relates to a handrail for a staircase comprising a handrail member and an adjustable securement device (80, 85) to support the hand rail member at variable heights above the stairs of a staircase.
Pipe extrusion
A pipe extrusion includes a cross-section with a substantially round outer perimeter. A round portion of the substantially round outer perimeter preferably has an included angle of less than 300 degrees. A pair of inward facing flanges terminate the round portion. A cross member is formed across an inner area of the round portion. The cross member is parallel with the pair of inward facing flanges. A position of the cross member relative to a centerline of the round portion is between 0-20 degrees from the center line of the round portion. The pipe extrusion is preferably fabricated from any suitable aluminum alloy, such as T-6 aluminum.
Handrail assembly jig
A handrail assembly jig is provided. The handrail assembly jig includes a vertical support having a first end and a second end. A planar base is affixed to the second end of the vertical support. A foot member is removably secured to the second end, wherein the foot member includes a planar foot base. A head member is slidably affixed to the vertical support at the first end. A clamp is removably secured to a lower side of the head member. An arm is pivotally secured to the second end, wherein the arm includes a slot therethrough. A securement device can be inserted through the slot to selectively raise and lower the arm relative to the vertical support.
Combinable ligature-resistant grab bar for vertical and horizontal application
A ligature-resistant grab bar provides ligature-proof self-support of persons at toilets, showers, baths or other locations where persons require self-support assistance. The ligature-resistant grab bar includes an elongate body that may be an extruded member, which has a flange disposed at a planar rear surface extending from the elongate body on a first side and a second side of the elongate body. The sides of the elongate body have curved side channels for drainage of water that extend from an inner edge of the flange toward a central axis of the elongate body to a gripping profile forming a front of the elongate body, which may be circular or elliptical in cross-section, of a front half of the gripping profile. The ligature-resistant grab bar also includes a bottom end cap and a top end cap attached to the ends of the elongate body.
Fascia Mounted Railing System
A fascia mounted railing system that uses brackets that secure posts to a slab while also providing base support for a infill panels without the use of a base rail. The system does this by using a bracket to secure the posts and a second bracket that fits within the bottom of the post. This bracket has end flanges that extend outwardly from the post to support an infill panel. The infill panels can have a base treatment to conceal the face of the slab, if desired, for a more aesthetically pleasing appearance. In addition, the system has the capacity for a top railing that can be attached to the back of the posts as a grab rail, or attached to the top of the posts (with a bracket) for a top rail.
Grab rail with automatically activated light
A grab rail with automatically activated light including: a straight longitudinal bar having a front longitudinal face and a rear longitudinal face and hollow openings at each end; two light units, each sealingly but releasably secured in one of said hollow end openings; a battery source connected with the light units and located inside the bar; at least one noise activated switching device operatively associated with said LED light units and battery source; and at least one post mount with flange, wherein an end of the post distal the flange is secured to the rear longitudinal face of the bar.
Handrail, Kit, and Method for Installation of Same
Embodiments of a handrail kit are provided. The handrail kit includes a cover, a first endcap, a second endcap, and a support member. The support member includes a longitudinal axis, a first end along the longitudinal axis, a second end along the longitudinal axis, a first lateral side, a second lateral side, a first longitudinal side, and a second longitudinal side. The first lateral side of the support member is configured to be secured directly against a mounting surface. The first endcap is configured to mate with the first end of the support member and the second endcap is configured to mate with the second end of the support member. The cover is configured to be placed over the second lateral side of the support member and to engage the first longitudinal side and the second longitudinal side of the support member.
Fascia mounted railing system
A fascia mounted railing system that uses brackets that secure the posts to the slab while also providing base support for the infill panels without the use of a base rail. It does this by using a bracket to secure the posts and a second bracket that fits within the bottom of the post.
Connecting Element For Medical Bedrail, Assembly Comprising It And Procedure For Assembling Said Assembly
The proposed invention relates to a connecting element (1) for a medical bedrail, such as used in medical transport gurneys, stretchers, hospital beds and the like.
