RAILING CONFIGURATION SYSTEM
A computer-implemented method for facilitating construction of a railing system has a database comprising data regarding one or more types of railing parts and data regarding an organization of the one or more railing parts into one or more kits. The user inputs, through a graphical user interface, a configuration for the railing system. Based on the minimum number for each of the types of railing parts and the data in the database regarding the organization of the one or more railing parts into the one or more kits, a minimum number for each of the kits required for the railing system is determined and displayed.
Screen Enclosure Support Assembly
A support assembly for a screen enclosure includes a collar device having a sleeve section with a central passageway for receiving an upright post of the enclosure and permitting the sleeve section to be adjustably positioned and fastened to the post. At least one channel is attached exteriorly to the sleeve section for receiving and being secured to a respective structural beam such that the beam is supported by and extends transversely to the upright post. The structural beam includes wide front and back face sections interconnected by narrow top and bottom side sections. At least one of the face sections has a spline groove formed longitudinally therethrough for receiving a screen panel and complementary spline component to secure the screen panel to the structural beam.
Handrail installation with emergency lighting
A handrail installation with emergency lighting for tunnels, comprising a handrail, a closed cable duct, at least one flat cable that is installed along the closed cable duct, and multiple branching boxes for contacting the flat cable without stripping of insulation. The branching boxes contact the flat cable within the closed cable duct. The handrail and the cable duct rest on support surfaces, which are different from one another, on the top side of multiple support members, and the handrail is provided separately from the closed cable duct and the support members, the cable duct is provided separately from the support members, and the handrail is situated above the closed cable duct. The emergency lighting includes multiple lamps situated in succession, which are placed at the branching boxes and are supplied with power by same. The lamps are passed through superposed installation openings in the floor of the cable duct, in the direction of the tunnel floor, so that the lamps radiate into an area below the closed cable duct. The closed cable duct and the support members are made of fireproof metal, and the flat cable as well as the branching boxes have a fireproof design.
PLATFORM SYSTEM
A modular platform system utilizing a number of components including a platform. The platform is configured so that each of the components may interchangeably connect to any side of the platform. The components include, for example, handrails and stairways, as well as other platforms. The platform and most of the components are formed from single, continuous pieces of metal.
