CONNECTOR APPARATUS

A locking member for a gate apparatus comprises a body mountable to a gripping array of a support, said body having a mating form mutually engageable with the gripping array, whereby axial motion of said body relative to said gripping array is inhibited. A member extends away from said body, said member defining a cross-tie mount for receiving a mating end of a cross-tie. The cross-tie mount has a cross-tie end retainer which is movable between a first position securing said cross-tie in said cross-tie mount, and a second position permitting release of said cross-tie from said cross-tie mount, whereby the cross-tie may be moved to function as a gate.

Telescopic or retractable bleacher handrail and system
09650796 · 2017-05-16 ·

A telescopic and retractable bleacher system and handrail that stows with the bleacher system. The bleacher system is adapted to move between an open position in which seating is available for use and a closed position in which rows of seating surfaces are vertically stacked. The system includes handrails adapted to move between a use position when the system is in the open position and a stowed position when the system is in a closed position. A post of the handrail includes a cam and a cylinder surrounding the post includes a cam slot. A ramp on a surface of the aisle step engages the post and raises the post within the cylinder as the bleacher system is moved into the open position. As the post is raised in the cylinder, the corresponding cam and cam slot cause rotation of the post.

Connector apparatus

A connector apparatus has a first portion and a second portion. The first portion mounts to an upright that has knobby hand grip protrusions. The second portion provides a connection for a laterally extending cross-member. The first portion interacts with the knobby hand grip protrusions to have a combination of a first degree of freedom permitting motion in one direction, while inhibiting motion in a second degree of freedom. The second portion has a releasable connection to the cross-member, and when engaged, has a degree of freedom of motion about an axis of the second portion cross-wise to the axis of the upright. The second portion has a releasable, retained, pin connector with a quarter-turn lock to prevent accidental disengagement. The connection of the second portion is offset such that when two connectors are seated back-to-back their cross-tie connections stand in substantially the same horizontal plane relative to the ground.

Systems and method for a barrier with interchangeable panels
09622602 · 2017-04-18 ·

A method and system for a barrier system configured to controllably block egress from and ingress to a predetermined area is provided. The barrier system includes a barrier panel including a barrier screen that is at least one of transparent and translucent such that viewing the predetermined area through the barrier system is permitted, the barrier screen is removable from the barrier panel and replaceable with another different barrier screen selectable by a user. The barrier system also includes a support device including an attachment assembly configured to support the barrier panel in a vertical orientation through a side of the barrier panel.

COLLAPSIBLE SAFETY BARRIER AND SUPPORT POST
20170096824 · 2017-04-06 ·

A collapsible safety barrier and support post for releasably securing between a ceiling structure and a floor structure. The safety barrier and support post comprises a plurality of longitudinal rails hingedly secured to a first end post and to a second end post, an extension rail releasably engageable with the second end post, and a latching mechanism to releasably secure the extension rail to the second end post. The safety barrier has a deployed position and a collapsed position. When in its deployed position the barrier is secured between a floor and a ceiling structure. When in its collapsed position the longitudinal rails, the first and second end posts, and the extension rail are positioned generally parallel and adjacent to one another.

Apparatus for forming temporary guardrails on stairs

An apparatus for use in erecting a temporary guardrail on a stair, having a stair stringer. The apparatus has an elongated stanchion. A first jaw assembly is operatively attached to the stanchion for engaging one side of the stringer, proximal the bottom edge thereof, and includes a first compression assembly to operatively urge the stanchion against the stringer. A second axially spaced, jaw assembly is operatively attached to the stanchion for engaging the one side of the stringer proximal a top edge thereof, and includes a second compression assembly to urge the stanchion against the stringer, and a bracket attached to the stanchion, and being adapted to receive a temporary guardrail member.

Stairs and platform system for mobile elevated shelter

A shelter includes a body having a wall. A stairs and platform system is connected adjacent the wall of the shelter. The stairs and platform system includes a platform and a stair assembly. The platform includes: (i) first and second spaced-apart side rails and a platform floor located between the first and second side rails; and (ii) first and second platform handrail assemblies respectively located on opposite first and second lateral sides of the platform. The stair assembly is connected to the platform to provide access to the platform and is movable relative to the platform from a first operative position in which the stair assembly projects outwardly away from the platform to a second stowed position in which the stair assembly is retracted relative to the platform and at least part of the stair assembly is supported adjacent the platform. The first and second platform handrail assemblies are each selectively configurable to be in: (i) an operative position in which the first and second platform handrail assemblies project respectively upwardly from the opposite first and second lateral sides of the platform; and (ii) a stowed position in which the first and second platform handrail assemblies engage both the platform and the stair assembly to capture and retain the stair assembly in its stowed position.

Guard assemblies

An example system in accordance with an aspect of the present disclosure includes an opening assembly and a guard assembly installable in a floor above an enclosed region. The opening assembly is actuatable between an open configuration to provide access to the enclosed region, and a closed configuration in which the opening assembly provides a closed surface. A guard assembly is mounted to the opening assembly and actuatable independent of the opening assembly, between a retracted configuration flush with the closed surface of the opening assembly, and a deployed configuration to serve as a guard for the opening assembly.

Arrangement

An arrangement for attaching a falling post on a base structure, the post being rotatably movable between a standing and a recumbent position. The arrangement includes a stand, wherein the post is attached pivotally to the stand by a pin. The stand includes at least one groove arranged laterally in respect to the post, and the post has at least one projection extending in a lateral direction from the post. The at least one groove is arranged with respect to the at least one projection such that when the stand is in the standing position, the at least one projection lies in the at least one groove, and thereby locks the post in the standing position. The at least one projection is attached to the post such that it may move with respect to the stand in a longitudinal direction of the post.
