A building fa?ade secured to a building structure having a plurality of floor levels can comprise a plurality of fa?ade panels wherein one or more fa?ade panels include a strip of fire-safing insulation. The fa?ade panels can be secured to the building structure adjacent an edge of a floor with the strip of fire-safing insulation engaging the floor edge along a vertical surface and a horizontal surface of the floor. Additionally, a method of installing a fa?ade on a building structure can comprise the steps of: providing a plurality of fa?ade panels, wherein the fa?ade panels include a strip of fire-safing insulation, hanging the fa?ade panels on the building floors adjacent an edge thereof, during the step of hanging, traversing the strip of fire-safing insulation vertically downwardly and horizontally towards the floor edge, and sandwiching the strip of fire-safing insulation between the fa?ade panels and the floor edge.

Housing Construction System

A wall surfacing system for providing a secondary ceiling or wall covering structure adjacent a primary structure. The system provides a plurality of elongated structural support rails, each of these support rails have a coupling web with a bearing surface for attachment to the primary structure, a coupling mechanism, and a portion integrally formed with and connecting the coupling web to the coupling mechanism. A plurality of generally planar surface panels are provided. Each panel has an integral interlocking member configured to mate with the coupling mechanism on the support rail. The elongated support rails are secured to primary structures, thereby extending the surface panels to form an aesthetically pleasing covered surface.

Insulation system for buildings

An insulation system for coupling to a building substrate comprising a plurality of insulation panels, bracket members and splice members. Each insulation panel includes a longitudinal slot. Each bracket member is formed from a polymer and includes an elongated body having a body wall, a first end wall and a second end wall. Upper and lower ribs extend from the body wall and are structurally configured to extend into the longitudinal slot of each of the plurality of insulation panels, and to elastically deform the longitudinal slot so as to effectively seal along a length thereof, defining a vapor barrier. A similar structure is on each splice member. The bracket members are positioned in a spaced apart relationship with insulation panels therebetween. The upper and lower ribs extend into corresponding ones of the longitudinal slots of the insulation panels, with splice members extending between adjacent adjacently abutting insulation panels.

Flush face wall tile

A flush face wall tile is provided that can be installed on an exterior wall of a building to protect it from rain and/or sun. The wall tile may have a tapered profile such that a thickness of the wall tile between a front face wall and a rear wall increases from a bottom portion of the front face wall to an upper portion of the front face wall. A plurality of these wall tiles can be installed on the wall such that the front face walls of each tile are substantially aligned along a longitudinal axis to form a flush exterior wall surface.

The corner cover for a trim member of a building wall siding or cladding may have first and second panels each with opposed substantially planar faces inclined at an included substantially right angle to each other with a longitudinally extending vertex. Each panel may have a substantially linear bottom end extending substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal vertex. The lower portion of each panel may have a first edge portion spaced from and extending substantially parallel to the longitudinally extending vertex and an upper portion with a second outer edge portion at least in part spaced from and closer to the longitudinally extending vertex than the first edge portion and at least in part may be inclined to both the bottom and first edge portions of its associated panel.

FAUX LOGS AND WALLS FITTED WITH FAUX LOGS

Techniques are disclosed for finishing roughed-in walls with faux logs such that the finished walls have the appearance of being made using actual square logs. In one example, such faux logs are fabricated using conventional 2 (two-by) lumber to produce the square log appearance. These faux logs are then stacked and attached to the face of outside and/or inside walls. Walls fitted with such faux logs appear to be built of square logs. Variations provide for chinking between courses of faux logs. The height of each faux log course can be as little as a few inches to well over a foot or more. With one variation, the height of a faux log course can appear to be several feet or more.
