Floor panels are shown, which are provided with a mechanical locking system comprising tongue and grooves provided with protrusions and cavities which are displaceable in relation to each other and configured such that the protrusions can obtain a vertically unlocked position where they match the cavities and a vertically locked position where the protrusions overlap each other.

A device for leveling and aligning tiles and method for leveling and aligning tiles are disclosed. In one embodiment, the leveling device includes a body and two spaced and parallel strip members extending transversely from the body. Each of the spaced and parallel strip members extend to the front and rear of the body. Two opposing lateral open windows are formed in the body. A breakaway section is defined along the body. A wedge device is provided for penetrating one or more of the two opposing lateral open windows and exerting a force on the tiles for leveling them relative to each other.

A flooring element suitable for connection to other elements in a flooring system. The flooring element comprises a body, a female connector and a retainer. The body defines a connector surface that is horizontal when in use. The female connector comprises a connector recess which is suitable for receiving a male connector and also which defines a connector opening in the connector surface. The retainer is connectable to the body such that, while it is connected to the body, the retainer is movable between and open position and a closed position. When in the closed position, the retainer is arranged to restrict movement of the male connector to guard against the male connector exiting the connector recess through the connector opening. When in the open position, the retainer does not restrict movement of the male connector thereby permitting the male connector to exit the connector recess through the connector opening.

A spacing apparatus for creating a properly dimensioned gap during the installation of a flooring system, the spacing apparatus including a first element having a non-adjustable width (W) corresponding to an intended gap width, the first element extending in a first direction and joined to a projection element, the first direction and the projection element being generally perpendicular to each other, the projection element having a first portion having a non-adjustable width (T-1) corresponding to an intended gap width measured from a surface of the projection element in a direction parallel to the direction of the first element, the projection having a section portion having a non-adjustable width corresponding to a second intended expansion gap measured from a surface of the projection element in a direction parallel to the direction of the first element, wherein each of said intended gaps has a different width and wherein a gap is provided between a flooring plank and a vertical surface.

A spacer assembly for flooring systems, such as for aircraft flooring, includes a spacer panel and one or more flooring panels. The spacer panel includes a core layer and a bottom layer. The core layer has a top face and a bottom face and the bottom layer has a lower face and an upper face that is bonded to the bottom face of the core layer. The lower face of the bottom layer is located adjacent to a structural floor and the bottom layer slides over the structural floor. The one or more flooring panels connect to the top face of the core layer, where the flooring panel and the spacer panel slide over the structural floor. Two or more flooring panels can be connected, such as by an adhesive material, to a spacer panel with a sealant member between the flooring panels to avoid infiltrations of liquids.

A rectangular panel has long and short edges, such that on each long edge and on each short edge, the panel has a coupling part, which allows the panel to be coupled to another similar panel.

An expansion joint profile system for producing an expansion joint in the manufacture of a rigid floor covering includes a profile (1) comprising a first profile element (3) having a first support leg (5) provided for bearing on a substrate (18) and a first abutment leg (6) projecting upwardly therefrom. A second profile element (4) has a second abutment leg (6). A connection element (9) is formed in a ridge-like manner and extends in the longitudinal direction between the two profile elements (3, 4) and connects them to one another in the lower region. An insertion opening (10) is formed between the abutment legs and is open at the top and extends in the longitudinal direction (L). A sealing element (11) is formed in a T-shaped cross-section with a downwardly projecting insertion leg (12) for insertion into the insertion opening (10).

A covering element includes a carrier plate including a mineral material, wherein the carrier plate is formed as a flat mineral carrier plate having a thickness between 3 and 15 millimeters (mm), complementary recesses and protrusions formed, respectively, on opposing lateral edges of the carrier plate, such that, in an assembled condition of two or more covering elements, the complementary recesses and protrusions are configured to engage with complementary protrusions and recesses, respectively, of another of the two or more covering elements, and a decor layer with a polymer and on a front side of the carrier plate.
