UV-A/UV-B SUNSCREEN COMPOSITION
A photostable UV-A/UV-B-sunscreen composition is provided. The composition includes an oil in water or water in oil emulsion, wherein the emulsion includes at least one photostabilizer having anti-oxidant properties, at least one SPF booster, and at least one UV-A filter and at least one UV-B filter. The UV-A/UV-B sunscreen composition is provided in which the composition is essentially free of oxybenzone.
FUNCTIONAL COMPLEX POLYSACCHARIDE PARTICLE
The invention provides a particle having an uneven structure on a surface thereof, and containing cellulose or a cellulose derivative and a clay mineral as main components, and a method for producing the same. Such a particle is soft and excellent in light scattering properties, and in particular, is excellent in a defocusing effect when it is formulated in cosmetics such as foundations, so that it is useful as cosmetics.
COMPOSITION BASED ON MULTILAYER SPHERICAL COMPOSITE PARTICLES AND ON A UV-SCREENING AGENT
A subject matter of the present invention is a composition comprising: a) at least multilayer spherical composite particles comprising i) a core comprising at least one material A having a refractive index ranging from 1.3 to 1.8; and ii) at least one layer covering said core, comprising at least one material B having a refractive index ranging from 1.9 to 3.1; and iii) optionally at least one second layer covering the material B, comprising at least one material C having a refractive index ranging from 1.3 to 1.8; said composite particles being present in an amount less than 28.0% by weight relative to the total weight of the composition; and b) at least one UV-screening agent.
This composition is for topical use and is more particularly intended for the photoprotection of the skin and/or hair against ultraviolet (UV) radiation.
Surfactant responsive emulsion polymerized micro-gels
A crosslinked, nonionic, amphiphilic polymer is prepared by polymerizing a monomer mixture comprising an amphiphilic additive. The obtained polymer is useful for forming a clearer yield stress fluid in combination with a surfactant. The yield stress fluid is capable of suspending insoluble materials in the presence of electrolytes, perfumes, fragrances and/or organic acid preservatives.
Matte nail compositions containing polylactic acid microparticles
The invention relates to matte nail compositions including polylactic acid microparticles, as well as to methods, kits and nail composition sets related to such compositions.
LIP COMPOSITIONS
Lip compositions, in particular lip oil compositions, capable of forming a multilayer structure after application to lips are provided, as well as methods of applying such compositions to lips.
PERSONAL CARE COMPOSITIONS
The present disclosure provides personal care compositions comprising a surfactant system that includes an anionic surfactant, a zwitterionic or amphoteric surfactant and optionally a non-ionic surfactant; a preservative system; a pH modifier; optionally a moisturizer or a skin conditioner or both a moisturizer and a skin conditioner; and a viscosity adjusting system, wherein the viscosity adjusting system comprises glyceryl oleate and at least one additional viscosity adjusting agent. Use of the viscosity adjusting system can achieve viscosity levels that would otherwise not be possible by either agent alone, and allows for higher maximum viscosity levels while at the same time providing an emolliency to the formulation.
Sunscreen compositions containing an ultraviolet radiation-absorbing polymer
Compositions including a discontinuous oil phase homogeneously dispersed in a continuous water phase, the oil phase including a sunscreen agent that includes a linear, ultraviolet radiation absorbing polyether that comprises a chemically bound UV-chromophore; and an oil-in water emulsifier component including an anionic oil-in-water emulsifier and a nonionic oil-in-water emulsifier having an alcohol functional group, wherein the weight ratio of the anionic oil-in-water emulsifier to the nonionic oil-in-water emulsifier is about 12 or less and wherein the linear, ultraviolet radiation absorbing polyether is present in an amount effective to provide the composition with an SPF of about 10 or greater.
AQUEOUS POLYMER DISPERSIONS SUITABLE AS OPACIFIERS IN LIQUID FORMULATIONS
Described herein is a method of using aqueous polymer dispersions, which are obtainable by radical aqueous emulsion polymerization in the presence of a degraded starch as an opacifier in liquid formulations. Also described herein is a process for producing the aqueous polymer dispersions. Also described herein are liquid formulations, such as detergent formulations and liquid cosmetic preparations, which contain at least one aqueous polymer dispersion.
ORAL CARE COMPOSITION
The present disclosure provides oral care compositions that include a water-miscible base component, an opacifying agent, a structuring agent, and an active antiseptic agent effective for providing antiseptic activity, wherein the oral care composition is opaque and exhibits antiseptic activity.
