Edging Forms for Producing Self-Leveling Floors and Methods of Use
20210293033 · 2021-09-23 ·

A method for forming a self-leveling floor includes: positioning an edging form on or adjacent to a subfloor so as to at least partially bound an area on which a self-leveling floor is to be formed, the edging form including: a body having a top face, a bottom face and a first side face that extends between the top face and the bottom face; and a plurality of spaced apart channels extending entirely through the body from the top face to the bottom face, each of the plurality of channels also passing through at least a portion of the first side face. A self-leveling flooring material is dispensed into the area in which the self-leveling floor is to be formed so that the self-leveling flooring material flows against the first side face of the body and into each of the plurality of channels.

Field-assembled water control flooring systems

Described herein are methods and systems for installing flooring systems that provide waterproofing or water-control capabilities. The flooring systems can utilize a gypsum material or any other self-leveling or concrete material along with a structural board or any other type of cement, wood, gypsum board, compressed board, cellulose fiberboard, sheathing board, or sheet metal material. The flooring systems include a waterproof coating applied to the structural boards to provide the water-control features. The waterproof coating covers seams between structural boards and between structural boards and the subfloor.

Load transfer plate apparatus

Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide a load transfer plate and a load transfer plate pocket that co-act to transfer vertical or substantially vertical loads from one concrete slab to an adjacent concrete slab in an enhanced manner by minimizing the air gaps in the concrete slab in which the load transfer plate pocket is positioned.

POLYURETHANE FLOOR WITH WOOD LOOK, AND RELATED APPARATUS
20210180332 · 2021-06-17 ·

A poured, seamless polyurethane floor includes woodgrain markings and floorboard markings protected within a top clear coating, thereby to achieve a poured seamless floor with a “wood look.” The woodgrain markings are achieved by moving a heavy brush through the wear layer, during installation, prior to curing. The longitudinal floorboard markings may be achieved by moving a line marking apparatus over the upper layer, parallel with the woodgrain markings, after the wear layer has cured. The line marking apparatus assures distinct parallel floorboard lines on the wear layer, due to the use of permanent markers held in a downwardly biased, spring-loaded condition during movement of the apparatus over the floor. The installer then marks the transverse floorboard lines. A top coat seals and protects the woodgrain marking and the floorboard lines, thereby resulting in a seamless, poured polyurethane floor with a permanent wood look.

METAL SHEAR CONNECTOR STRUCTURE FOR ADJACENT CONCRETE PANELS
20210148109 · 2021-05-20 ·

Adjacent concrete wall panels are connected at the vertical joint by a shear connector structure that includes a metal connector angle embedded in a corner portion of one of the panels, and one or more threaded nuts or studs are welded to a flange of the angle. A metal shear connector plate has a hole for each threaded nut or stud and elongated holes or slots for the other concrete panel. After the panels are erected and positioned, the connector plate is bolted to the studs and self-tapping concrete anchor screws are inserted into the slots and threaded into holes formed in the other panel. The studs are formed by machinery weld studs to form a bore with threads at the welded end of each stud.

CORDLESS ELECTRICALLY-POWERED CONCRETE SCREED

A power unit is configured for use as part of a concrete screed and includes a frame and a powered drive. The frame includes a drive housing. The powered drive is operably supported by the drive housing and is configured to rotate a rotatable concrete forming drum. The powered drive includes an electric motor and a battery operably coupled to the electric motor and configured to power the electric motor. The powered drive includes a drive shaft drivingly connectable relative to the drum, with rotation of the drive shaft causing corresponding rotation of the drum.
