Oral care compositions containing a gel network phase
An oral care composition containing a gel phase, an abrasive, and a fluoride source. The gel network phase contains a cold dispersible fatty amphiphile and phase separation is not visually perceptible in the oral care composition.
Compositions comprising solvent, a monoalcohol and glycerin
The present invention relates to compositions for removing nail polish that include a C2-C3 monoalcohol, at least about 15% glycerin, and at least about 20% by weight of a C2-C4 alkyl acetate, and combinations thereof. The compositions include less water than glycerin. Methods of using these compositions to remove nail polish and moisturize the hands are also provided.
Powder and process for cleaning teeth by use of such powder
The invention relates to a powder for use in a powder jet device for cleaning teeth, wherein the powder comprises granules having an average particle size of 20 μm to 220 μm and the granules comprise primary particles and a binder, wherein the primary particles have an average particle size smaller than the average particle size of the granules. The invention also relates to a process for preparing the powder and the use of the powder for cleaning teeth.
METHOD OF PREPARING A COSMETIC COMPONENT
A method for preparing a cosmetic component is provided which includes applying a layer of a dry cosmetic ingredient between a pair of fibrous sheets obtained by electrospinning one or more polymeric materials at least one of which is capable of cold flow under pressure. Sufficient pressure is then applied to the layers of fibrous sheets to cause cold flow of at least some of the polymeric material such that at least parts of the fibrous sheets bond with each other and entrap the cosmetic ingredient in position between them and prevent it from migrating between the sheets during further processing or handling.
Composition for air polishing
A composition for air polishing the surface of hard dental tissue includes an abrasive first powder suitable for polishing hard dental tissue; a second powder of a gelling agent; and a third powder of a dental treatment agent.
Topical products with a biphasic system
A biphasic topical product comprising a hydrophilic phase and a lipophilic phase floating on said hydrophilic phase. A method for preparing biphasic topical products.
COMPOSITION AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE
The present invention relates to compositions comprising Carica papaya derived serine protease, methods of extracting the protease from fruit sources as well as cosmetic and therapeutic uses thereof, and associated kits.
Oral Care Compositions
Described herein are oral care compositions comprising: from about 35 wt. % to about 85 wt. % of an anhydrous solvent system (e.g., 35 wt. % to about 75 wt. %); from about 0.02 wt. % to about 30 wt. % of a peroxide solution comprising: from about 0.01 wt. % to about 15 wt. % of hydrogen peroxide, and from about 0.01 wt. % to about 15 wt. % of water; from about 1 wt. % to about 20 wt. % of a thickening system; wherein the oral care composition has a total water content of less than about 30 wt. %; and wherein all weight percentages are based on the total weight of the oral care composition. Methods of making and using these compositions are also described herein.
COMPOSITIONS SUITABLE FOR WHITENING ORAL CARE AND OTHER USES
A modified precipitated silica comprising precipitated silica and at least one polymer selected from the group consisting of poly(ethylene glycol) methyl ether methacrylate and poly(vinylphosphonic acid) is useful for the manufacture of peroxide-based whitening oral care compositions having improved stability over time. It is also useful for the manufacture of elastomeric compositions having a performing balance of properties including e.g. high rolling resistance and/or high wear resistance.
SKIN CONDITIONING COMPOSITION WITH HIGH CONCENTRATION OF UREA TO BOOST THE SKINCARE ACTIVES
A method for improving the efficacy of a skin care active includes applying, in any order, a first composition that includes a skin conditioning composition in carrier system having a water phase having: urea or a derivative thereof, present in an amount from about 20% to about 40%, by weight, based on the weight of the composition; at least one amino acid; at least one of triacetin or triethyl citrate; and, optionally, a buffer system having a pH in a range from about 4.0 to about 6.0, wherein the pH is less than about 7; and a second composition that includes a complementary composition including one or more skin actives not present in the skin conditioning composition. The complementary composition is a leave on or rinse of skin peel composition including at least a hydroxy acid. The compositions may be provided as an article of manufacture with separately contained compositions.
