The present invention provides spherical monodispersed polyester resin particles and an aqueous dispersion thereof in an easy and inexpensive way, and a cosmetic product having fine extensibility, which has fine water resistance and smooth touch, and does not provide uncomfortable feeling to the skin.

Skin care compositions are provided which contain thermus thermophiles ferment and silybin and provide anti-aging and reparative effect for skin. The compositions may also include one or more additional substances selected from carnosine, adenosine and CG-EDP3. The substances are dispersed in an aqueous carrier, such as water, to be applied to the skin in a spreadable form.

A callus removal apparatus includes a main body having opposite first and second end portions and an elongated configuration for ease of gripping by one hand, a callus scraping device fitted on the main body first end portion, and a callus sanding device fitted on and detachable from the main body second end portion. The callus scraping device has a head with an array of spaced-apart punched-through projections that extend upwardly from the head and have a plurality of jagged edges at a distal end thereof. The exposed projections are capable of removing pieces of a callus by moving the head across and in contact with the callus. The callus sanding device has a panel and a plurality of sanding particles attached on the panel and exposed at the exterior thereof and thus capable of removing pieces of a callus moving the panel across and in contact with the callus.

A porous silica particle with the small specific surface area and large pore volume, which is contained as the scrubbing agent in the cleansing cosmetics is provided. The porous silica particle has high collapsibility, and therefore the damage of the skin can be prevented. A porous silica particle according to the present invention has: an average circularity of 0.1 to 0.5; a pore volume of 0.1≦Pv<1.0 ml/g; a specific surface area of 5 to 60 m.sup.2/cm.sup.3; a median size of 100 to 1000 μm; a ratio of a maximum particle diameter to the median size, of 3.0 or less; and a median size of 5 to 40 μm and a maximum particle diameter of 15 to 200 μm, after rubbing for 30 seconds with a load of 1.0 to 1.4 KPa.

Proposed is a complex aqua skin peeling machine which allows for the use of a handpiece to supply hydrogen water to the skin of a user for removal of reactive oxygen species in the user's body.

Sulfated oligohydroxycarboxylic acid esters have the general formula (I): ##STR00001##
wherein at least one of the radicals A is —SO.sub.3B. Cosmetic and pharmaceutical agents contain said esters. These esters are effective as anionic surfactants.

Provided is an oral care composition comprising a phosphate/acrylate co-polymer, a tin salt, and an orally acceptable carrier, and methods of using the same.

Described are personal care compositions comprising a polymer comprising: (a) one or more polymer comprising, as polymerized units, (i) 75% to 35% by weight, based on the weight of said polymer, one or more (meth)acrylate monomer selected from at least one of C1-C4 (meth)acrylate, (meth)acrylic acid, styrene, or substituted styrene, and (ii) 25% to 65% by weight, based on the weight of said polymer, one or more hydrophobic monomer, including hydrophobically substituted (meth)acrylate monomers, with alkyl chain length from C8 to C22 and, (iii) optionally crosslinker, and, (b) at least one personal care active. Optionally, the polymer further includes a stage 2 polymer comprising, as polymerized units, (i) 10-99% of one or more monomer which has a Tg of more than 80° C. after polymer formation, (ii) 1-10% of one or more (meth)acrylate monomer containing acid functional group, and (iii) optionally, a crosslinker.

The invention describes aqueous, surfactant-containing and/or transparent cleansing preparations containing novel associative thickeners, the A-MA polymers. Solid particles, bubbles and/or droplets can be present as a stable suspension in the preparations.

A composition is provided, wherein the composition includes an aqueous solvent, phenol, croton oil, and at least one saturated non-ionic ethoxylated fatty acid ester, and wherein the composition has a rate of separation of less than or equal to 0.5 mm/s. Another composition is also provided, wherein the composition includes an aqueous solvent, benzyl alcohol, ethylhexylglycerin, and at least one saturated non-ionic ethoxylated fatty acid ester. The compositions may be incorporated in to methods for treating skin conditions and cleansing skin, respectively.
