DOUBLE-SIDED SELF-ADHESIVE VAPOR BARRIER
The invention relates to a vapor barrier which is self-adhesive on both sides, comprising at least one moisture barrier layer, a carrier film, a first pressure-sensitive adhesive layer which is resistant to moisture, a second pressure-sensitive adhesive layer which is present on a side of the carrier film opposite the first pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, and a removable covering layer which has been applied to the second pressure-sensitive adhesive layer on a side of the self-adhesive vapor barrier facing the surroundings opposite the carrier film.
Surface element
The invention relates to a surface element (1), intended for use as a floor, wall and/or ceiling surface element for a floor, wall and/or ceiling covering, having at least one carrier plate (2) and at least one functional layer (3), wherein the carrier plate (2) comprises a top side (5) facing a usable side (4) and an underside (7) opposite the top side (5) and facing the underground (6). According to the invention, it is provided that the functional layer (3) is provided underneath the carrier plate (2), and that the functional layer (3) is designed in such a way that, in the installed state, it projects beyond the side edge (10) of the side (8), in particular of the long side (9), on at least one side (8), especially on at least one long side (9).
Floor Underlayment
A method of installing a laminate wood floor over a subflooring is provided. The method includes a layered composition including a foam sheet and a melted portion, the melted portion being a surface polymer layer that provides a smooth surface. The foam sheet being a polymer that provides cushioning, the foam sheet and the melted portion being formed of the same material. The method includes placing the layered melted portion-foam composition over the subflooring. The method further includes laying the laminate wood floor over the layered melted portion-foam composition.
MESH SEAM CONNECTION ELEMENT
A mesh tape bonded to the outer edge or outward side of sheet panel products. The mesh tape is applied so that the tape overhangs the edge of the panel for the purpose of adjoining to the adjacent panel following installation of the panels at a job site. The mesh may be applied to two edges of the sheet panel, one along the panel width and another along the panel length. When installed, the panel edge with the mesh tape applied is overlapped with the edge of an adjacent panel that does not have tape applied, both along the length and width, thus allowing for a faster, more robust and reliable installation of panel sheathing.
Floor underlayment for retaining heater cable
A membrane for decoupling heated flooring from a subfloor includes a flexible base and a plurality of projections formed into the base and extending outward from the base. Each projection of the plurality of projections has a perimeter wall defining a height of the projection and a top surface integral with the perimeter wall for supporting a flooring adhesive and/or for bearing a load when the heated flooring is installed. The projections have one flange portion extending from the perimeter wall and effective for retaining a heater cable within a channel formed between each pair of adjacent projections. Each channel may have exactly one flange portion extending over it and forming an overhang for retaining heater cables of different diameters. The corresponding flange portions of adjacent projections do not face in the same direction or the opposite direction, providing for a minimum number of flange portions to be used.
FLOOR UNDERLAYMENT SHEETS, FLOOR UNDERLAYMENT SYSTEMS AND RELATED METHODS
Floor underlayments, floor underlayment systems and related methods are provided herein. A floor underlayment sheet can include a middle body portion having first outer face and a second outer face with the middle body portion having a thickness. The floor underlayment sheet can also include a first end portion extending outward from the middle body portion from a first side of the middle body portion. The first end portion can have an outer face that aligns with and is contiguous with the first outer face of the middle body portion and an inner face that is opposite the first end portion outer face. The floor underlayment sheet can further include a second and portion extending outward from the middle body portion from a second side of the middle body portion. The second end portion can have an outer face that aligns with and is contiguous with the second outer face of the middle body portion and an inner face that is opposite the second end portion outer face. The first end portion and the second end portion can have thicknesses that are a fraction of the thickness of the middle body portion.
Shock Absorbing Interlocking Floor System
Floor panels include a top portion that is molded from a plastic material. The top portion has a substantially planar top surface and side surfaces. The side surfaces depend downward from the substantially planar top surface forming a cavity in an underside of the substantially planar top surface. A bottom support structure fills the cavity, thereby providing support and shock absorption to the substantially planar top surface.

SHOCK ABSORBING INTERLOCKING FLOOR SYSTEM
Interlocking panels have a top portion and side edges. Multiple panels are interlocked together mechanically along the side edges by locking features. The top portion includes a substantially planar top surface, side edges, and interlocking features. The bottom support structure is made of a shock absorption material that fits under the substantially planar top surface, thereby providing support and cushioning to the substantially planar top surface. The interlocking feature includes, for example, sides alternating between sides that have protrusions (upward or downward) and sides that have receivers for the protrusions.
