DEVICES AND METHODS FOR MOUNTING DOOR FRAMES
The present invention relates to a door frame, particularly a door frame for a pre-hung door assembly, which is foldable to minimize storage space and to allow for enhanced logistic efficiencies. The door frame contains parallel, spaced apart, vertical jambs and a horizontal header connecting the top ends of the jambs. Each of the jambs and the horizontal header contains a front section and back section that are hingedly joined so that then can be folded on to each other. The hingedly joined front and back sections allow the door fame to be foldable to minimize space occupied during storage.
Mounting Hardware Assembly
A mounting hardware assembly is provided herein that includes a bracket having first and second sections. The first and second sections are coupled to one another by a weakened portion. A jamb flange and a wall flange are each defined by the first section. The wall flange is perpendicularly offset from the jamb flange at a common edge. First and second flange apertures are defined by the jamb flange. An elongated body is defined by the second section. A support flange extends at least partially along the elongated body. The support flange is offset from the elongated body. A plurality of openings are defined by the elongated body. The plurality openings includes at least first and second openings. The first opening and the first flange aperture at least partially align when the second opening and the second flange aperture are at least partially aligned.
Door jalmb jigs
The current invention comprises a set of Door Jamb Jigs designed to enable the user to temporarily hold a carpenters level, a carpenters square, and a door jamb firmly within the rough opening of a framed wall so that the door jamb can be permanently nailed in place pre-squared, pre-leveled, and pre-plumb. The current invention utilizes universally designed Jigs that enable users to utilize their own conventional carpenters square and carpenters level combined with the Door Jamb Jigs to practice a new method of installing pre-hung interior doors much easer, faster and more accurately compared to the conventional practice of holding tools by hand. The current invention solves problems during the Pre-hung door jamb installation process. #1 The invention enables the user to temporarily attach both a 90 degree carpenters square and a carpenters level to the door jamb so when the door panel is reattached to the jamb the clearance between the door panel and the door jamb is equal and parallel all around. #2 By using this method of pre-squaring the head of the jamb in relation to the hinge side of the jamb, and pre-straightening the hinge side of the jamb with the carpenters level attached to the jamb pre-plumb the user can accurately determine how much shimming is required to allow for twisted framing lumber. Thus eliminating jamb torque, and bound hinges. #3 By adjusting the standoff screws the jamb be positioned flush with the finished wall.

Door hanger bracket
A door assembly, a hanger bracket therefor which comprises an elongated manually bendable body which extends from a first wall mounting tab at one end, for a distance approximately equal to the width of a door jamb, and sufficiently far beyond to provide for forming a second wall mounting tab. The elongated body includes at least one bend line extending laterally with respect to the length of said body, whereby the body can be manually bent to form said second wall mounting tab, after the bracket has been secured to the jamb of the door assembly and the door assembly located in the door opening of the wall and secured to one side of the wall by the first wall mounting tab. Two bend lines are shown such that the bracket can be used in a wall having drywall on both sides, or in a wall having drywall on only one side.
Sealing element
A sealing element of flexible foam which includes at least three sealing tape sections which are arranged next to each other in a functional direction of the sealing element. At least one first barrier layer section and at least one second barrier layer section are each accommodated between two adjacent sealing tape sections. The barrier layer sections connect the adjacent sealing tape sections to each other. The first barrier layer section forms a loop in an area of the bottom surface of the sealing element and the second barrier layer section forms a loop in an area of the top surface of the sealing element.
Modular assembly jig system
A modular assembly jig system for use in constructing a structural element on a construction site is disposable between an operative assembled configuration and a collapsed configuration for transport or storage. The system includes a jig platform assembly comprising a plurality of platform members, and a support assembly disposed in a supporting relation to the jig platform assembly. An alignment assembly disposed along the jig platform assembly facilitates alignment of a portion of the structural element during construction. A guide assembly having at least one guide member is at least temporarily interconnected to the jig platform assembly, and an adjustable clamp assembly is operatively positionable along at least a portion of the guide assembly. The adjustable clamp assembly retains at least a portion of the structural element in position during construction. An extension assembly is provided to increase an operative working area of the jig platform assembly.
Object placement and fastening aid
A tool (FIG. 1) that assists in the placement and fastening together of pieces of material. The invention is comprised of valleys into which said pieces are placed. Said valleys have openings (portals) so that the exposed face of one piece can be aligned flush with the exposed face of another piece. The portals also allow an adequate means of fastening such as nails, screws, adhesive, etc. to be used to fasten them together at a predetermined angle. The invention may have multiple protruding valleys extending from a main valley, so that a base piece of material may have several pieces of material fastened to itsuch as in framing the studs of a wall unitwithout measuring distances or angles between pieces, thus saving considerable time, labor, and money.
Adjustable door frame spreader tool
An adjustable door frame spreading tool to aid in the alignment and mounting of a hollow metal door frame. The tool includes and first end and second end connected to a collapsing/expanding middle section. The first end and the second end are bifurcated with an adjustable width of the bifurcation. Each end of the bifurcation being square and level and including a magnet for attachment to the door frame. The tool will spread the door frame and pull the door frame into alignment for attachment to an opening.
DOOR HANGER BRACKET
A door assembly, a hanger bracket therefor which comprises an elongated manually bendable body which extends from a first wall mounting tab at one end, for a distance approximately equal to the width of a doorjamb, and sufficiently far beyond to provide for forming a second wall mounting tab.
