The first and second barrier layer sections each comprise two legs connected to each other. The legs of the first barrier layer section are connected to each other in an area of the bottom surface of the sealing element and the legs of the second barrier layer section are connected to each other in an area of the top surface of the sealing element.
WINDOW INSTALLATION APPARATUS
The herein described invention is a window installation apparatus comprising of at least one wedge-shaped distance piece. The apparatus according to the invention comprises a body (1) connected in a sliding manner to a clamp (3) between which an expansion unit is positioned, comprising at least one wedge (6) and a lead screw (9) connected by means of a threaded connection with an opening (12) of the wedge (6), wherein the body (1) has protrusions (2) positioned at its opposite sides, lateral rails (5) mating with brackets (4) of the clamp (3) and an opening (10) in a rest wall (11) for the lead screw (9), while the outer walls (7) of the wedge (6) and the inner walls (8) of the body (1) and the clamp (3) converge downward at the same angle.
Adjustable shim and pre-hung door with the same
An adjustable shim is described for attachment to a pre-hung door or a rough opening. The adjustable shim may include a base bracket for mounting the adjustable shim to the pre-hung door or the rough opening, an inner shim, an outer shim, and a first actuator operably attached between the base bracket and the inner shim. At least one of the inner shim and the outer shim is tapered. Rotation of the first actuator translates the inner shim substantially linearly relative to the outer shim, thereby adjusting a combined height of the inner shim and the outer shim.
Method and apparatus for cutting linear trenches in concrete
A portable apparatus and method for cutting linear trenches in a concrete ground surface includes two bars extending in parallel spaced relation along the concrete with an elongated track removably fastened and extending orthogonally thereto. A trolley supporting a motor-driven cutting wheel is movably engaged with the track. A depth adjuster alternately lowers and raises the cutting wheel to engage and disengage the concrete while the trolley follows contours of the concrete to cut a kerf of uniform depth. The track is selectively movable to spaced locations along the lengths of the two bars to cut a first plurality of parallel kerfs in a first direction. The apparatus is rotatable about a vertical axis to cut a second plurality of parallel kerfs oriented in a second direction at a predetermined angle, e.g., 90 degrees, to the first direction, to form a simulated tile pattern in the concrete.
FRAME-POSITIONING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR POSITIONING A FRAME
The present invention relates to a frame-positioning device (40) for positioning a frame (10) in a wall or a wall section, wherein at least one positioning element (40a) is provided which has a first connection region (40b) and a second connection region (40c), wherein the positioning element (40a) can be connected, in particular releasably, to the frame (10) by means of the first and second connection region (40b, 40c), wherein at least one connection means (120) for connecting the frame-positioning device (40) to the frame (10) is arranged on the first and/or second connection region (40b, 40c). Furthermore, the present invention relates to a packaging unit (134) having at least one frame-positioning device (40), to a frame (10) which is connected to the frame-positioning device (40) while being positioned, and to a frame stack having at least one first frame (10) and having at least one second frame (10). In addition, the present invention relates to a method for positioning and/or mounting a frame (10) in a wall or a wall section by means of at least one frame-positioning device (40).
Sealing Tape Roll
A sealing tape roll which comprises barrier layers extending in the radial direction that are arranged axially between layers of foam and consist of a sealing element wound up into the sealing tape roll. The sealing element includes at least three sealing tape sections which are arranged next to each other in a functional direction of the sealing element. First and second barrier layer sections are each arranged between two adjacent sealing tape sections and parallel to the side surfaces of the sealing element. The first and second barrier layer sections each comprise two legs connected to each other. The legs of the first barrier layer section are connected to each other in an area of the bottom surface of the sealing element and the legs of the second barrier layer section are connected to each other in an area of the top surface of the sealing element.
Sealing Element
A sealing element of flexible foam which includes at least three sealing tape sections which are arranged next to each other in a functional direction of the sealing element. At least one first barrier layer section and at least one second barrier layer section are each accommodated between two adjacent sealing tape sections. The barrier layer sections connect the adjacent sealing tape sections to each other. The first barrier layer section forms a loop in an area of the bottom surface of the sealing element and the second barrier layer section forms a loop in an area of the top surface of the sealing element.
Method for the Production of a Sealing Tape Roll
A method for the production of a sealing tape roll of flexible, compressible foam with at least one barrier layer extending in the radial direction, which is arranged axially between two layers of foam. The method includes providing a foam web of a flexible foam; applying a first barrier layer to a first surface of the foam web; and introducing at least one first cut into the first surface of the foam web and introducing at least one second cut into a second surface of the foam web opposite the first surface to form parallel sealing tape strips. A connecting section remains between two adjacent sealing tape strips. The sealing tape strips are then folded over in the area of the connecting sections to produce a foam-barrier layer web, and the foam-barrier layer web is wound up into a sealing tape roll.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CUTTING LINEAR TRENCHES IN CONCRETE

A trolley supporting a motor-driven cutting wheel is movably engaged with the track. A depth adjuster alternately lowers and raises the cutting wheel to engage and disengage the concrete while the trolley follows contours of the concrete to cut a kerf of uniform depth. The track is selectively movable to spaced locations along the lengths of the two bars to cut a first plurality of parallel kerfs in a first direction. Object Placement and Fastening Aid
A tool (FIG. 1) that assists in the placement and fastening together of pieces of material. The invention is comprised of valleys into which said pieces are placed. Said valleys have openings (portals) so that the exposed face of one piece can be aligned flush with the exposed face of another piece. The portals also allow an adequate means of fastening such as nails, screws, adhesive, etc. to be used to fasten them together at a predetermined angle. The invention may have multiple protruding valleys extending from a main valley, so that a base piece of material may have several pieces of material fastened to itsuch as in framing the studs of a wall unitwithout measuring distances or angles between pieces, thus saving considerable time, labor, and money.
