Door assembly installation tool
An alignment tool for a door is provided herein. The alignment tool includes a body portion and a planar alignment portion extending from a common edge. The body portion has a first predefined thickness and the planar portion has a second predefined thickness. A plurality of bosses extends outward from the body portion. An alignment tool engagement feature is disposed on the alignment portion that is configured to engage to a door frame assembly mounting bracket having a corresponding engagement feature.
ADJUSTABLE SHIM AND PRE-HUNG DOOR WITH THE SAME
An adjustable shim for pre-hung doors or windows is described. The adjustable shim includes a base bracket configured for mounting to a frame member of the pre-hung door or window. The adjustable shim also includes a shim plate and an actuator operably attached between the base bracket and the shim plate. Rotation of the actuator raises or lowers the shim plate relative to the base bracket.
Adjustable door frame
A door frame assembly includes integral shim screws in the vertical jambs that facilitate installation of the assembly into a rough opening or doorway. The vertical frame jambs have one or more holes therethrough. Shim screws are positioned in those apertures and are adjustably extendable outwardly therefrom to engage a rough opening to assist in fixing the frame in that opening.
Adjustment device, system and methods
An alignment device, systems and methods where the device includes a guide, a support and a connector which engages the guide and the support. The guide may be a relatively flat piece attachable to and edge of a frame for framing a window or a door. In one aspect the guide member a slot, support attaches to an object such as a window or a door (or is integral with an object such as a window or door) which is to be aligned with the frame. The connector threads within a hole associated with the object, such as a hole of a support connected to a jamb of a window. The connector engages a slot of the guide and the device allows for desired alignment of an object within a frame by transferring rotational movement to linear movement.
Self-aligning jamb jack screw
A self-aligning jamb jack apparatus with a cylindrical threaded adjustment component that has adjustment component threads on the exterior wall and smooth surface on the interior walls, the cylindrical threaded adjustment component extending through a cylinder with a smooth exterior to a ball, the smooth surface extending through the cylinder and the ball. The jamb jack apparatus also has a platform base with a socket configured to encompass the ball such that the platform base pivots around the ball. The self-aligning jamb jack apparatus is installed in a door or window jamb (or any other appliance) to connect and regulate the space between the jamb and the rough framing.
Adaptable door mounting support for positioning and installation of door slab and methods of use and assembly thereof
An adaptable door mounting support for acquiring a door gap and for supporting a door slab. The door mounting support comprises a frame member including first and second A-shaped segments interconnected by a rectangular bottom section and together defining a door support channel therebetween, and a tie device configured to meter the door gap and hold the door slab off the ground. A width of the door support channel is equal or larger than a thickness of the door slab. The tie device includes a cable tie extending between the A-shaped segments and across the door support channel, and a locking member attached to the cable tie by sliding over the cable tie. The locking member is slidable over the cable tie in one direction only and is lockable on the cable tie to adjust a distance between the cable tie and the bottom section of the frame member.
STEP SHIM
A step shim for positioning a fixture in a precise location relative to an adjoining support structure includes an elongated member having: (a) two, side surfaces, (b) a flat, bottom face, (c) a top face that includes a plurality of flat, adjoining segments, each of which is separated from an adjoining top face segment by a boundary line that extends across the top face (d) front and back ends, and (e) wherein this member has a configuration adapted to allow it to be broken apart along the member's boundary lines into a plurality of member segments that each correspond to one of the top face segments, and (f) wherein the distance between the bottom face and the segment of the above top face defines a member segment's height, each of which is progressively taller from the member's front to back end.
ADJUSTABLE SHIM AND PRE-HUNG DOOR WITH THE SAME
An adjustable shim is described for attachment to a pre-hung door or a rough opening. The adjustable shim may include a base bracket for mounting the adjustable shim to the pre-hung door or the rough opening, an inner shim, an outer shim, and a first actuator operably attached between the base bracket and the inner shim. At least one of the inner shim and the outer shim is tapered. Rotation of the first actuator translates the inner shim substantially linearly relative to the outer shim, thereby adjusting a combined height of the inner shim and the outer shim.
Door buck
A pre-manufactured door buck or a kit of parts is used to install a pre-sized door buck in a wall that allows a standard sized door to be installed. The door buck can include a pair of side members and a header member. Each side member can have an aperture passing through the side member. The header member can have a first end with a first tenon and a second end with a second tenon. The door buck is constructed by inserting the first tenon and the second tenon through the apertures in the side members and secured in place. The assembled door buck defines a pre-determined sized opening in which a door can be installed.
