Transportation Brackets
A transport bracket disclosed herein includes a support structure and at least one vertical beam which extend sin a substantially vertical direction upward from a side of the support structure. Where the bracket is configured for the transport of a door or similar objects, two beams are present with one opposite the other. A mounting plate extending horizontally from each beam. Each mounting plate defines an opening for receipt of a vertical adjustment shaft which extending through the opening and is threadingly engaged thereto. The vertical adjustment shaft has a top located vertically above the mounting plate, and a bottom located vertically below the mounting plate. A handle is operatively engaged to the top and a wheel assembly is engaged to the bottom. Rotation of the handle changes the proximity of the wheel assembly to the mounting plate. The wheel assembly has an axle extending from the vertical adjustment shaft, and at least one wheel rotatably engaged about the axle.
Process and system for installing replacement door
A system for installing a door slab in a door frame. The system comprises an adaptable door mounting support configured to acquire a door gap and to support the door slab at a height off of the ground equal to the door gap. The door mounting support includes a frame member and at least one tie device provided to meter the door gap and hold the door slab in place off the ground at the height equal to the door gap. The frame member includes two A-shaped segments interconnected by a bottom section and together defining a door support channel therebetween. The at least tie device includes a cable tie extending across the door support channel and a locking tab attached to the cable tie by sliding the locking tab over the cable tie. The locking tab is lockable on the cable tie.
Installation features for fenestration units and associated methods
Features and methods for use in connection with the installation of fenestration units. Embodiments include an installation bracket and method of use, pre-installed flashing tape, and a shim that can be broken to a desired length during shimming procedures.
Installation tools and pre-hung door with the same
A tool for use during installation of a pre-hung door. The tool includes a base and at least one orientation indicator, such as a bubble level, mounted to the base. The tool also includes at least one spacer extending from the base. The at least one spacer may be positioned between an edge of a door panel and a respective adjacent portion of a door frame. The tool may also include at least one tongue extending from the base in a direction opposite the at least one spacer. The at least one tongue may be positioned between a weather strip and a face of the door frame so that the tool can remain in place when the door panel is open relative to the door frame.
Small frangible shim
Taught here is a small frangible shim with handle for fine tune leveling which is wedge shaped, and pre-scored to enable an unneeded portion to be easily removed during use. Such shims are used in the construction industry utilized for adjusting the spacing of various construction members. The shim may be fashioned from any suitable material to provide stability, ease of use, and ease of manufacture. Further, the shim contains surfaces with properties of both friction to retain the shim in place once deployed and smoothness to allow the shim to slide easily into position. The shim taught here is small compared with existing shims for use in situations where delicate, fine-tune adjustments of leveling is desired.
Rafter angle square door clamp stand system
A rafter angle square door clamp stand system functions like a truss, utilizing tension and compression. A horizontal tension base is suspended off of the ground by rotatable support members, one at each end of the base. The tension base has a T shaped slot that runs the length of the base. Two rafter angle squares, each having a T shaped member, slide into the slot of the base, one from each end of the base, with the vertical edges of the angle squares facing each other. The weight of the door on the tension base causes the base to flex downward, and the rafter squares to compress, holding the door in an upright position. Stop elements prevent the angle squares from moving backwards when the door is compressed and clamped. The system can be converted to support cylindrical objects, by reversing the positions of the angle squares.
DOOR HARDWARE LOCATING TOOL
A door hardware tool includes an edge wall with a first side, a second side opposite the first side, and an edge bore aperture that extends through the first side and the second side. The edge bore defines a first axis that extends centrally through the edge bore and through the first side and the second side. The door hardware tool also includes a side wall coupled to the edge wall. The sidewall includes a first side, a second side opposite the first side, a cavity defined between the first and second side, and a cross bore aperture moveable between a first setback position and a second setback position within the cavity along a second axis. The second axis is parallel and offset from the first axis.
Support bracket for window installation and methods of use
Various aspects of the present disclosure are directed toward apparatuses, systems, and methods for installing a closure assembly into a framed opening having sheathing arranged around the framed opening. The apparatuses, systems, and methods may include use of at least one support bracket along the framed opening and the sheathing.
