Joint Compound Application Assembly
A joint compound application assembly for applying joint compound on drywall includes a rod that has a conduit integrated therein. The conduit is fluidly coupled to a source of joint compound thereby facilitating the joint compound to be urged through the conduit. A box is coupled to the rod and the box has a bottom end that is open into an interior of the box. A spray bar is fluidly coupled to the conduit and the spray bar is directed toward the bottom end of the box to spray the joint compound onto a wall or ceiling. A knife is coupled to the box to smooth the joint compound on the wall or ceiling.
Wallboard joint tape with fluorescent compound
An identifiable wallboard joint tape is provided and includes a web of tape incorporated with an identifier such that the tape is visible under UV light and visually distinguishable from the surrounding wallboard joint and joint compound.
Automated insulation application system and method
An automated insulation application system that includes a robotic arm and an insulation end effector coupled at a distal end of the robotic arm, the insulation end effector configured to apply insulation material to a target surface. The system can further include a computing device executing a computational planner that: generates instructions for driving the insulation end effector and robotic arm to perform at least one insulation application task that includes applying insulation material via the insulation end effector to a target surface, the generating based at least in part on obtained target surface data; and drives the end effector and robotic arm to perform the at least one insulation application task.
System, apparatus and methods for a hand-held dry wall tape applicator
A hand held combined tool for drywall taping including a drywall tape applicator attached to a smoothening blade is described. The dry wall tape applicator includes a gated protrusion for feeding a dry wall tape through a ridged slot and to be held securely in position by a user before dipping the dry wall tape in a joint compound container to coat the dry wall tape with the joint compound on both side of the dry wall tape. The user then pulls the dry wall tape through the gated protrusion and the ridged slot to obtain a uniformly dual side coated drywall tape ready to be placed on a joint and to be immediately smoothened with the smoothening blade attached to the dry wall tape applicator.
Automated drywall mudding system and method
An automated drywalling system for applying joint compound or plaster to drywall pieces. The system includes a robotic arm and a mudding end effector coupled at a distal end of the robotic arm, the mudding end effector configured to apply joint compound or plaster to a target surface. The system can further include a computing device executing a computational planner that: generates instructions for driving the mudding end effector and robotic arm to perform at least one mudding task that includes applying joint compound or plaster, via the mudding the end effector, to one or more joints between a plurality of drywall pieces, the generating based at least in part on obtained target surface data; and drives the end effector and robotic arm to perform the at least one mudding task.
Joint compound spreading tool for drywall joint finishing
A hand tool is provided for the application of joint compound on wall board, a planar blade affixed to a handle. The blade has a concave arcuate working edge, wherein the concave arcuate curve extends the entire length of the working edge to each corner of the working edge. The concave arcuate working edge to may be used to apply a self-featured layer joint compound over drywall tape on planar butt joint or an inside corner joint. The blade is laterally flexible.
SURFACE REPAIR TOOL
A surface repair tool for repairing defects in surfaces includes a handle with an applicator blade extending from one end of the handle and a sanding device extending from the opposite end of the handle. The handle includes a receptacle into which is removably received a container of repair compound. The applicator blade includes an application surface and a flow passage that has an inlet and an orifice formed through the application surface. Squeezing the container causes repair compound in the container to flow through the flow passage of the applicator blade and out of the orifice where it is dispensed onto the applicator surface to be spread on a surface needing repair. Once the repair compound dries, the sanding device is used to sand the repair compound to a desire finish.
Drywall Tape
The present invention relates to an improved drywall tape for use in drywall installation applications. More specifically, the improved drywall tape is comprised of a woven mesh body portion positioned between, and fixedly attached to, two solid end portions. The shape and size of the mesh body portion is meant to substantially fill the valley created by two factory tapered edge portions of adjacently hung drywall sheets, thereby requiring less joint compound/drywall mud than would otherwise be required to finish the drywall joint and reducing labor/material costs. The shape and configuration of the improved drywall tape also enables the same to be used to finish an inside corner, and may further comprise an adhesive backing for easier installation.
Automated drywall sanding system and method
An automated sanding system that includes a robotic arm and a sanding end effector coupled at the distal end of the robotic arm, with the sanding end effector configured to sand a target surface. The system can further include a computing device executing a computational planner that generates instructions for driving the sanding end effector and robotic arm to perform at least one sanding task that at least includes the sanding end effector sanding a target surface, the generating based at least in part on obtained target surface data; and drives the end effector and robotic arm to perform the at least one sanding task.
HAND TOOL ASSEMBLY
A tool assembly includes a handle and a connection end which is connected to the handle by way of blow molding or ultra-sonic fusion. The connection end can be made by plastic injection molding. The handle can be made by way of blow molding. The connection end has a slot defined axially therein. A blade includes a body and a toothed portion. The toothed portion of the blade is connected to the slot of the connection end. The toothed portion is inserted into the slot of the connection end when the connection end is molded by way of blow molding so that the toothed portion of the blade is connected to the slot of the connection end. The toothed portion has multiple teeth and each tooth includes an inclined edge tapered toward the downward toward the connection end.
