Repair compound and methods of use
A repair compound for use in all applications and particularly well-suited for large hole repair. The repair compound includes a latex resin, a thickener, fibers, and a filler material. In some embodiments, the repair compound is configured to exhibit pseudoplastic-type behavior. In some embodiments, the repair compound has a density of not greater than 4.0 lbs/gal. In some embodiments, the repair compound includes hydrophobic and hydrophilic fibers of different morphologies. In some embodiments, the repair compound includes HASE-type thickeners. In some embodiments, the repair compound includes a bimodal distribution of hollow glass microspheres from two different strength/size curves.
INJECTION CONTROLLER WITH INSULATION COMPONENT MONITORING AND VERBAL ANNOUNCEMENT OF DISPENSE-RELATED INFORMATION
A controller for a wall cavity insulation injection system monitors foam precursor dispensing from storage vessels, in embodiments via flow gauges and/or scales, and improves dispense volume accuracy and/or quality by providing audible, verbal information to the operator, enabling injection of high expansion foams without wall blowout. Embodiments verbally up-count or down-count elapsed time, dispensed quantities, and/or filled volumes to enable dispensing without cavity volume input. Other embodiments accept cavity volume input and down-count to a required time, quantity or volume. Bar codes, QR codes, etc. can be associated with wall cavities and/or precursor vessels and scanned to input information. Embodiments monitor precursor dispense ratios and/or precursor vessel contents, and prevent further dispensing upon detection of an error condition to avoid off-ratio dispensing and system contamination by air due to an empty precursor vessel. Embodiments verbally describe errors and suggest remedies for correction thereof. Embodiments further include visual displays.
Trowel
A method for applying a layer of curable material to a surface including the steps of: applying the curable material to the surface; positioning a trowel relative to the surface so that a plurality of first radial teeth of the trowel, extending from a working edge of the trowel, is in contact with the surface; and with the plurality of first radial teeth in contact with the surface, moving the trowel across the surface to spread the curable material across the surface at a constant thickness.

Blister package with detachable knife
A disposable blister package according to an example of the present disclosure includes a first portion and a second portion. A cavity is formed in the second portion and contains a compound. The first portion is separable from the second portion at a snap line, and the first portion is operable to spread the compound.

System for applying finishing compound
A system for finishing surfaces with a finishing material includes a handle assembly with proximal and distal ends. A material reservoir is mounted on the handle distal and includes an inlet and an outlet. A material applicator tool is mounted on the reservoir and receives material from the reservoir outlet. A discharge mechanism includes an extendable-retractable component connected to the reservoir for discharging or reloading material. An alternative embodiment includes a lockable, compressible gas spring. Another alternative embodiment includes a rotating element driven by a reversible motor mounted on the handle assembly. The rotating element drives a discharge mechanism in a discharge direction of rotation, and reloads the reservoir in a reload direction of rotation.
