A floor panel contains opposite edges that contain coupling parts to link two floor panels. These coupling parts contain locking planes: first and second locking planes on the first edge with an enclosed angle between 90° and 175°; and third and fourth locking planes on the second edge with an enclosed angle between 90° and 175°. The first locking plane is closer to the top of the floor panel than the second locking plane. The angle with the surface of the floor panel of the first locking plane is smaller than the second locking plane. The angle with the floor plane surfaces of the third locking plane is smaller than that of the fourth locking plane. The second locking plane is provided for interaction with the fourth locking plane of a coupled panel. The first locking plane is provided for interaction with the third locking plane of a coupled panel.

Panel

A panel including an upper side, a lower side, a core and complementary locking elements provided in pairs on opposing panel edges. At least one pair of locking elements has complementary hook profiles, namely a receiving hook and an arresting hook. The receiving hook has a hook periphery arranged remote from the main body and a receiving recess arranged in the vicinity of the basic body. The receiving recess is open towards the panel upper side, and the arresting hook has an arresting recess, arranged in the vicinity of the basic body and open towards the panel lower side, and has an arresting shoulder remote from the basic body and which, in the vertical joining direction, fits into the receiving recess of the receiving hook. The arresting hook has a vertically locking arresting contour and the receiving hook has a form-fitting contour, which form fits with the arresting contour of the arresting hook. The arresting hook has, near the basic body, a horizontally locking retaining surface on its arresting shoulder and the receiving hook has a horizontally locking retaining surface arranged remote from the basic body in the receiving recess. The receiving hook is provided with a sealing groove open to the panel upper side, and the arresting hook has a sealing strip projecting towards the panel lower side, which in the joined-together state of the complementary hook profiles fits into the sealing groove. The sealing groove and the sealing strip are arranged in the region of the panel core, and the surface of the sealing groove is formed from the material of the panel core and/or the surface of the sealing strip is formed from the material of the panel core.

Panel with locking device

A set of panels includes first and second panels and a mechanical locking device for assembly by vertical relative displacement of the panels. A locking strip extends from a first edge of the first panel in a direction parallel to first and second panel surfaces of the first panel. The locking strip includes a locking strip edge, and first and second locking strip surfaces respectively extending in directions substantially corresponding to those of the first and second panel surfaces. A locking element of the locking strip cooperates with a locking groove at the second edge of the second panel for locking in a direction parallel to the first panel surface. Opposite edges respectively include cooperating tongue and tongue groove for vertical locking. A flexing groove extends from a first locking strip surface/first edge transition and into the first panel at an angle α from the first panel surface.
