The present invention relates to a polymer obtained at least from a quantity A of 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropane sulfonic acid, in acid and/or salified form, characterized in that the quantity A of 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropane sulfonic acid contains 250 to 20,000 ppm by weight of 2-methyl-2-propenyl-sulfonic acid, in acid and/or salified form. The present invention is in the field of antioxidants and relates to cosmetic or pharmaceutical, preferably dermatological, compositions or homecare product comprising or consisting of a synergistic combination of a specific antioxidant and an effective amount of 1,2-heptanediol and/or 2,3-heptanediol or of a specific alkanediol or a mixture of two or more different specific alkanediols and the use of said compositions as a cosmetic, for personal care, as a pharmaceutical or homecare product, in particular for scavenging reactive oxygen species (ROS), for inhibition matrix metalloproteinases expression and/or for inhibiting interleukin 8 (IL-8) secretion. WATER-SOLUBILIZED MIXTURE OF GINSENOSIDE COMPOUND K AND METHOD OF WATERSOLUBILIZING GINSENOSIDE COMPOUND K
Disclosed is a water-solubilized mixture of ginsenoside compound K manufactured by mixing hexanediol and polyol with ginsenoside compound K and then adding water, and a method of water-solubilizing ginsenoside compound K. The method includes manufacturing a mixture of ginsenoside compound K powder and hexanediol by adding hexanediol to ginsenoside compound K powder and performing mixing, manufacturing a mixture of ginsenoside compound K powder, hexanediol, and polyol by adding polyol to the mixture of ginsenoside compound K powder and hexanediol and performing mixing, and manufacturing an aqueous solution containing ginsenoside compound K by adding the mixture of ginsenoside compound K powder, hexanediol, and polyol to water at 65 to 75° C. during agitation and performing mixing. The water solubility of ginsenoside compound K is improved, and cosmetics including high concentrations of ginsenoside compound K are readily manufactured.

ALKENONE-BASED FORMULATIONS FOR TOPICAL APPLICATIONS
The use of long-chain alkenones to impart desired characteristics in personal care compositions for topical applications is described. The preparation of mixtures long-chain alkenones and synthetic derivatives thereof is presented. Examples of compositions include abrasive soaps, with alkenones serving as natural exfoliating agents. Alkenones and their derivatives can serve as emollients, occlusive agents, encapsulating agents, stabilizing agents, binding agents, thickening agents, surfactants, and antimicrobials.
