A multilayer insulating panel is for the installation of an electric heating system having electric heating wires in a subfloor or in a wall of a building. The panel includes a main insulating layer including a first surface and a second opposite surface. A sheet made of polymeric material is operatively associated with one of the first or second surfaces. The sheet has a first face and a second opposite face and includes reliefs equally spaced apart on the first face to fix the electric heating wires on the first face in a reversible manner. A connection layer is fixed to the second face of the sheet. The connection layer is interposed between the second face of the sheet and one of the first surface or the second surface of the main layer following the association of the main insulating layer with the polymeric sheet.

Each projection of the plurality of projections has a perimeter wall defining a height of the projection and a top surface integral with the perimeter wait for supporting a flooring adhesive and/or for bearing a load when the heated flooring is installed. The projections have one flange portion extending from the perimeter wall and effective for retaining a heater cable within a channel formed between each pair of adjacent projections Each channel may have exactly one flange portion extending over it and forming an overhang for retaining heater cables of different diameters. The corresponding flange portions of adjacent projections do not face in the same direction or the opposite direction, providing for a minimum number of flange portions to be used.

Deck system and components

A decking system is made up of a variety of decking boards and other components are disclosed. In some aspects, the decking boards are connectable to each other so that adjacent boards will provide a water barrier and a drainage channel. Some versions of the boards may have a hollow region to accept the provision of heating elements or other accessory structures. A panel comprising a heat providing layer is presented. The panel includes panel coupling means arranged for coupling the panel to adjacent panels. In order to provide heat, longitudinal grooves are arranged in the panel along the whole length of the panel. Electrical end connectors are arranged in the longitudinal grooves to protrude from at least one end side of the panel. The electrical end connectors are arranged for being electrically connected to the heat providing layer, and for being electrically connectable to at least one corresponding end connector of at least one adjacent panel, and for being at least partly resilient, thereby providing a connecting force F.sub.con being essentially perpendicular to the at least one of the first and the second end sides when the panel is coupled to at least one adjacent panel, and being directed towards at least one corresponding end connector of the at least one adjacent panel.

A PANEL AND A HEATING SYSTEM

A panel comprising a heat providing layer is presented. The panel includes panel coupling means arranged for coupling the panel to adjacent panels. Longitudinal grooves are arranged in the panel along the whole length of the panel. In order to provide heat, at least one electrical end connector is arranged at one or more end panel coupling means. The electrical end connectors are arranged for being electrically connected to the heat providing layer, for being at least partly electrically conductive, and for at least partly protruding from the one or more end panel coupling means, thereby providing an electrical connection between the heat providing layer of the panel and a corresponding heat providing layer of at least one adjacent panel coupled to the panel. The invention also concerns a heating system comprising such a panel, the electrical end connector, and a method for installing such a heating system.
