Lamp and illuminated hardscape
A lamp and a hardscape structure illuminated by the lamp are disclosed. The lamp is formed from a plate to which a light fixture is attached. The plate may have a flange, a decorative face plate and side panels attached to direct light from the fixture along the hardscape on which the lamp is mounted. Mounting is effected by positioning the plate between discrete hardscape elements that are stacked one atop another. A portion of the plate projects out from the structure allowing the fixture to cast light on the structure surface. A light transmitting cover is also provided.
Solid state floor lighting unit and system
A solid state floor lighting unit comprises a printed circuit board carrying an array of solid state lighting elements and a protective cover. The cover has openings or other light output regions aligned with the solid state lighting elements to provide light output. The protective cover has at least one edge with downwardly projecting spaced supporting tabs. These tabs form a comb structure which enables adjacent units to be interlinked. In this way a reduced pitch between lighting elements across the join between units is made possible, but the protective cover still provides the required stiffness and robustness to carry heavy loads.
Floor covering system comprising a lighting system
The invention provides a floor covering system (10) with (a) a PVC-based floor covering (100) and (b) a lighting system (200) arranged to generate light (210). The PVC-based floor covering (100) has a user side (101) and an opposite back side (102). The lighting system (200) is arranged at the back side (102) of the PVC-based floor covering (100). The PVC-based floor covering (100) has a light transmission for light (210) generated by the lighting system (200) in the range of 0.5% to 30%, especially in the range of 1% to 20%.
Apparatus and methods for lighting a floor using a light diffusing fiber
According to some implementations a floor is provided that comprises a substrate having a top surface and a groove formed therein. The groove has an open end located at the top surface of the substrate. The groove further includes a bottom wall and side walls with the bottom wall located a first distance below the top surface of the substrate. The groove extends along a length of the substrate. A light diffusing optical fiber or other lighting means is supported inside the groove by a transparent or translucent fiber support that spaces the light diffusing optical fiber or other lighting means a distance away from the bottom wall, side walls and open end of the groove. According to some implementations the walls of the groove or the outer surfaces of the fiber support are provided with light reflectors to enhance the propagation of light toward the open end of the groove.
System for mounting wall panels to a wall structure and wall panels therefor
A system for mounting wall panels to a wall includes wall panels, each including a main wall panel section, and four bent end sections extending from edges of the main wall panel section; a plurality of main fastening extrusions, each including a base secured to the wall, two spaced apart post walls extending from the base section, and two bent end securing walls extending from the base on opposite sides of each post wall, with a spacing between each post wall and an adjacent bent end securing wall being equal to the wall thickness of one bent end section; and a recess at a first surface of each bent end section which faces a second surface of a respective bent end securing wall, and a projection at the second surface of each bent end securing wall which is adapted to be received in a respective recess.
Flexible floor mat incorporating LED lighting
An up-lighting floor mat includes floor matting that defines an upwardly-facing surface and an opposed downwardly-facing surface when supported atop an upwardly-facing support surface, and that is formed from a first flexible material that enables the up-lighting floor mat to be rolled up for transport or storage; and a first elongate up-lighting assembly positioned within a first elongate slot defined through the floor matting to emit light upwardly from the first elongate slot, wherein at least one elongate edge defined by the first up-lighting assembly is bonded to at least one edge of the floor matting that defines the first elongate slot.
Glass Light-Emitting Tile
A glass light-emitting tile may include a light-transmissive glass plate, a glass substrate and a light guide plate. The light guide plate may be arranged between the light-transmissive glass plate and the glass substrate. A light-emitting diode (LED) lamp may be provided on a side of the light guide plate. The light-transmissive glass plate and the glass substrate may be glued together using a sealant. The glass light-emitting tile may having a tile and/or a stone-textured coating that may be low cost, may provide a high production efficiency, and may provide flexible customization. The tile may be used indoors and/or outdoors.
RAISED FLOOR ARRANGEMENT AND PEDESTAL MEMBER FOR SUPPORTING TILES OF A RAISED FLOOR ARRANGEMENT
The invention provides a raised access flooring arrangement comprising floor tiles mounted at different heights to create recessed spaces within which lighting elements may be mounted. The floor tiles are supported by a plurality of pedestal elements, each adapted for supporting tiles at the different heights.
Floor Board Unit, Floor Board and IOT Home System
The present application provides a floor board unit, a floor board and an IoT home system. The floor board unit includes a floor board body which can switch between a light-transmissive state and a light-tight state, a floor board controller, a light emitting layer and at least one first sensor. The light emitting layer is below the floor board body. An output terminal of the first sensor is electrically coupled to an input terminal of the floor board controller. The light emitting layer is configured to emit incident light towards the floor board body. The floor board controller is configured to control the floor board body to be in the light-transmissive state when the light emitting layer emits the incident light. The first sensor receives reflected light obtained after the incident light is reflected and transmit a signal indicating an intensity of the reflected light to the floor board controller.
ILLUMINATED CERAMIC TILE AND PRODUCTION METHOD
The invention relates to a ceramic tile (1) with a glaze (11) which covers at least the visible face (10). A light generated by one or more light sources (6, 14) is visible on the visible face (10), and at least one bore (2) and/or recess (22) passes through the body of the ceramic tile (1). The glaze (11) is designed to guide light and at least partly fills the bore (2) and/or the recess (22) in a sealing manner, and the one or more light sources (6, 14) are arranged on the rear face of the ceramic tile (1) and are connected to the bore (2) and/or the recess (22) so as to guide light.
