Work platform with latch assembly and method

A scaffold upon which a person stands includes a platform with a first leg assembly rotatably attached to the platform. The scaffold includes a latch assembly having a latch pivot axis coupled to the platform. The scaffold includes a stud attached to a first leg of the first leg assembly to which the latch assembly engages when the first leg assembly is moved into the extended position to automatically lock the first leg assembly in the extended position where the latch assembly is in a set position. When the latch assembly is moved out of the set position, the stud on the first leg disengages from the latch assembly and the first leg assembly is able to rotate about the first leg assembly pivot axis to a folded position. A method for using a scaffold.

Collapsible utility scaffold

A utility scaffold is designed to be repeatedly broken down into straighter components to reduce the space requirement for storage and shipment. The scaffold has first and second ladder frames, each comprising a plurality of vertical supports, a plurality of horizontal supports, and a plurality of releasable connections. The horizontal supports are releasably connected to the vertical supports by the releasable connections to form a rigid ladder frame structure. The releasable connections include a male wedge protrusion and a female receiver configured to receive the male wedge protrusion. The female receiver has a passage therethrough, with the passage having a tapered interior surface. The male wedge protrusion and the tapered interior surface are configured to abut when the vertical support and the horizontal support are mounted together via the releasable connection. A fastener is optionally used to secure the releasable connection.

ENHANCED SAFETY CAGE APPARATUS FOR WORK AREAS ON TOP OF ROLLING STOCK SUCH AS RAIL TANK CARS

A cage for surrounding a section of a work area of the top of rolling stock includes an inboard side, an outboard side, a front end section and a back end section. The inboard side of the cage is attached to an associated deployment apparatus. Each of the two sides can define a pair of fence notches to slide over the rails surrounding the work area. Each of the two end sections can define an inboard notch and a center notch. Some embodiments of the end sections can define an outboard notch that includes a self-adjusting straddle. The cage can be provided as part of a portable fall protection device that includes a telescoping positioning mechanism.

A STRUCTURAL SUPPORT SYSTEM AND A METHOD FOR PROVIDING A NODE SECTION FOR USE IN A STRUCTURAL SUPPORT SYSTEM

A structural support system, such as, a scaffolding or a falsework comprising verticals (10) and horizontals (40) connected at node sections (120) at the verticals (10), each node section (120) comprising a locking device for joining horizontals (40) and/or diagonals with bladed ends arranged at ends of the horizontals (40) and the vertical (10), where the locking device is a cup pair comprising a bottom cup (20) held at a position on the verticals (10) and atop cup (30) moveably arranged on the verticals (10), where bladed ends of the horizontals (40) or diagonals are configured to be locked by bottom cup (20) part and top cup (30) part, providing a rigid connection. That is characterized in that parts of the structural support system intended to be held at a position on the verticals (10) are held by using one or more fastening means (50) and corresponding hole(s) (11, 25) in the parts and the verticals (10), the fastening means (50) being rigidly fixed by screwing a headed bolt into the vertical (10), providing a compressive vertical load in vertical and/or horizontal direction capacity of the lower cup via the bolt.

POST CONNECTION ADAPTER

A post connection adapter for detachably fastening a scaffolding post to a support includes a fastening body having first and second fastening-body fasteners in first and second fastening-body fastening positions, respectively, and detachably fastenable to the support selectively by the first or second fastener. The first and second positions have a fastening position distance between each other of 72 mm. The post connection adapter includes a post connection body extending toward the post connection body axis and fastened to the fastening body. An imaginary center plane containing an imaginary center point between the first and second positions is offset by 20 mm perpendicular to the center plane and to the post connection body axis, with respect to a post connection body axis plane extending parallel to the center plane and containing the post connection body axis. A device has two identical post connection adapters detachably fastened to a support.
