ALLERGEN PROTECTION AGAINST URUSHIOLS
Allergenic substances, allergens such as urushiols, are captured by peptides that consist of 2-10 amino acids, at least one amino acid having one or more reactive side chains. This barrier effect of the peptides, in particular in topically applicable preparations, leads to a novel anti-allergic form of therapy.
AMMONIA OXIDIZING MICROORGANISMS FOR PH MODULATION
A method of modulating topical pH of a subject is provided. The methods include administering an effective amount of a preparation comprising ammonia oxidizing microorganisms to the subject. The methods include administering the preparation comprising ammonia oxidizing microorganisms topically to skin of the subject. Related preparations and kits are also provided.
Preservative Compositions and Methods of Use
Methods are provided for reducing or preventing undesirable changes in a composition over time, such as microbial growth, oxidative damage, and/or color changes. Date palm pollen or an extract thereof serves as a preservative, antimicrobial, and/or antioxidant component, thereby stabilizing the composition.
STABLE DISPERSIONS COMPRISING DROPS OF A PERFUMING AGENT
The present invention relates to the use of at least one cross-linked polymer or a cross-linked copolymer, the polymer or copolymer comprising at least one unit derived from the polymerization of one of the monomers selected from the group consisting of acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, alkyl acrylate comprising from 1 to 30 carbon atoms and salts thereof, for stabilizing at least one perfuming agent in a composition comprising at least 3% by weight of perfuming agent(s), the perfuming agent being in the form of dispersed drops in an aqueous gel, the aqueous gel comprising water, a buffer having a pKa comprised from 4.0 to 9.0 and a base, and the size of the perfuming agent drops ranging from 0.2 μm to 5,000 μm.
Stabilizer composition of microcrystalline cellulose and carboxymethylcellulose, method for making, and uses
The subject matter of this invention is a composition and method of making a water-dispersible, stabilizing colloidal microcrystalline cellulose:xarboxymethylcellulose composition. The method of making the composition does not require a salt solution as an anti-slip agent.
Methods for manufacturing an aerosol product
An aerosol product comprising an aerosol container comprising a container body and an aerosol valve fixed to an opening of the container body, and an aqueous concentrate and a propellant being filled in the aerosol container, wherein the aqueous concentrate comprises an active ingredient having reactivity with oxygen, and an inert ingredient is present in at least a part of an injection passage of the aerosol valve, even though the aqueous concentrate comprising an active ingredient having reactivity with oxygen is filled, oxidation of the active ingredient is inhibited in the aerosol valve, and an aerosol product that can be stored stably for a long period of time and a method for manufacturing the same can be provided.
Cleansing Bars with Taurine
A cleansing bar composition comprising at least one cleanser chosen from soap and surfactant; taurine, in free or salt form; and one or more hydrophobic stabilizing agents. The hydrophobic stabilizing agent prevents the crystallization of taurine on the surface of the cleansing bar. Also methods of making the cleansing bar to inhibit crystallization of taurine in a cleansing bar.
Hair growth composition and method
The present invention relates to compositions for and methods of retarding hair loss or facilitating hair growth comprising a hair growth active, a mixture of C.sub.12-C.sub.15 alkyl lactates and a viscosity modifying agent comprising at least one cellulose and/or a cellulose derivative. Clear compositions are also disclosed.
UV-A/UV-B SUNSCREEN COMPOSITION
A photostable UV-A/UV-B-sunscreen composition is provided. The composition includes an oil in water or water in oil emulsion, wherein the emulsion includes at least one photostabilizer having anti-oxidant properties, at least one SPF booster, and at least one UV-A filter and at least one UV-B filter. The UV-A/UV-B sunscreen composition is provided in which the composition is essentially free of oxybenzone.
