System and Method for Cleaning External Walls of Building
This solution is for washing and cleaning the external walls of a building, and adopts a lightweight six axis robotic arm mounted on a mini-gondola hoisted by a pulley system with the controlling motor located within the mini-gondola, while another set of motor located on the pulley system at the roof-top end drives the mini-gondola to traverse laterally on a set of twin-rails on the roof-top of the building. Four vacuum suction cups mounted on the minigondola through linear actuator are used to secure the mini-gondola to the wall. Each linear actuator has three ultrasonic distance sensors that measure and manage the distance between the mini-gondola and the wall to be cleaned. Once the gondola is in position, the robotic arm will be activated to start the cleaning process.
Rolling access step
A traveling step structure is mounted to a warehouse rack to allow convenient access to elevated shelves without blocking shelving corridors. A rack track is mounted to a rack between vertical rack members and a support track is fixed to the surface which supports the rack. The traveling step structure has a first frame mounted with followers to the rack track, and a second frame positioned outwardly from the first frame, and connected to the first frame for movement from a retracted position to an extended position. A plurality of steps extend between the first frame and the second frame and are pivotably mounted to both frames. When a user desires to access an elevated rack shelf, the second frame is pulled outwardly and downwardly to bring the steps into a horizontal position. A damper assembly is mounted between the first frame and a step to cushion extension.
LIFT DRIVE FOR A RAIL-GUIDED CANTILEVER CONSTRUCTION DEVICE
The invention relates to a lift drive for a rail-guided cantilever construction device (2), in particular for use in bridge construction. The cantilever construction device (2) comprises a main frame (3, 3′) which is guided by at least one rail (4a, 4b, 4′a, 4′b) for receiving at least one formwork. The lift drive comprises a lift device (5, 5′), wherein a first end of the lift device (5, 5′) is designed to be connected to the main frame (3, 3′), and a second lift device (5, 5′) end opposite the first end can be moved relative to the main frame (3, 3′) when the first end of the lift device (5, 5′) is connected to the main frame (3, 3′); a first fixing device (6) which is connected to the first end of the lift device (5, 5′) and is designed to fix the first end of the lift device (5, 5′) with respect to the at least one rail (4a, 4b, 4′a, 4′b); and a second fixing device (7) which is connected to the second end of the lift device (5, 5′) and is designed to fix the second end of the lift device (5, 5′) with respect to the at least one rail (4a, 4b, 4′a, 4′b). The first and second fixing device (6, 7) can each be releasably fixed with respect to the at least one rail (4a, 4b, 4′a, 4′b) in a reversible manner.
Air cylinder driven mobile assembly support unit
A mobile assembly support unit that includes an assembly line sync mechanism having a line engagement unit coupled to a rotatable sync arm, a propulsion unit having a propulsion wheel and a propulsion motor, a translation arm coupled to the propulsion unit and engageable with the rotatable sync arm, and an air cylinder coupled to the propulsion unit. The air cylinder is actuatable between a retracted position and an extended position such that when the air cylinder is in the retracted position, the translation arm is engaged with the rotatable sync arm and the propulsion unit is in a lifted position and when the air cylinder is in the extended position, the translation arm is disengaged with the rotatable sync arm and the propulsion unit is in a descended position.
Support system for use in construction
A support system for for supporting a work surface, such as a floating roof during maintenance of the associated tank. More particularly, the present disclosure is directed to providing a system composed on elements which can be transported without constrictive spaces, assembled within work area, and employed to provide support to a structure above and to provide a safe working environment therein. . The support system includes four support members, each having a jack, a lower, and a cap, eight connectors which fix the support members in relation to one another and provide rigidity, and may include two connecting shafts to permit simultaneous adjustment of two jacks on a side of the support system.

Suspended scaffolding system
A method of stabilizing a suspended scaffolding system against a main stable structure by using the intentional displacement of the centre of gravity of the suspended scaffold off its equilibrium position and preventing the return of the centre of gravity to the equilibrium free-hanging state. The displacement of the centre of gravity is to be achieved by movement of the counterweight of the suspended scaffolding. The centre of gravity is prevented from returning to the equilibrium position by using adjustable bumpers between the suspended scaffolding system and the main stable structure. A restoring gravity force induced by the displacement of the centre of gravity off the equilibrium position acts as a pushing force to provide firm stabilization of the suspended scaffolding against the main stable structure.
Transportation systems, elevator systems, kits, tower sections and methods for performing assembly or maintenance operations in towers
Provided are examples of transportation systems, elevator systems, and kits for use in towers, as well as tower sections and methods for performing assembly or maintenance operations in towers, particularly wind turbine towers, guides mounted in tower sections for transporting an operator or robot along an inside of a tower and an elevator carrying parts of such guides.
ENHANCED SAFETY CAGE APPARATUS FOR WORK AREAS ON TOP OF ROLLING STOCK SUCH AS RAIL TANK CARS
A cage for surrounding a section of a work area of the top of rolling stock includes an inboard side, an outboard side, a front end section and a back end section. The inboard side of the cage is attached to an associated deployment apparatus. Each of the two sides can define a pair of fence notches to slide over the rails surrounding the work area. Each of the two end sections can define an inboard notch and a center notch. Some embodiments of the end sections can define an outboard notch that includes a self-adjusting straddle. The cage can be provided as part of a portable fall protection device that includes a telescoping positioning mechanism.
