Suspended scaffolding system
11028602 · 2021-06-08 ·

A method of stabilizing a suspended scaffolding system against a main stable structure by using the intentional displacement of the centre of gravity of the suspended scaffold off its equilibrium position and preventing the return of the centre of gravity to the equilibrium free-hanging state. The displacement of the centre of gravity is to be achieved by movement of the counterweight of the suspended scaffolding. The centre of gravity is prevented from returning to the equilibrium position by using adjustable bumpers between the suspended scaffolding system and the main stable structure. A restoring gravity force induced by the displacement of the centre of gravity off the equilibrium position acts as a pushing force to provide firm stabilization of the suspended scaffolding against the main stable structure.

A method for installing and deploying concealed mounting points for a davit or jib crane on a roof patio or large balcony covered with stone pavers. Specifically, a metal plate assembly lower flange is affixed to the concrete roof slab with its contact points covered by waterproofing membrane. The metal assembly hard point upper flange holes correspond to the holes in the mounting base of the davit or jib crane. The metal assembly when installed is lower than the pavers supported by metal pedestal transition components. As such, the metal assembly hard point is concealed and covered by a removable cover plate that also sits on top of the metal pedestal transition components and is flush with the top of the pavers.

PORTABLE DAVIT

A portable davit includes a base having a mounting portion and a housing. The housing defines a cavity. An end of a mast is positioned within the cavity. A jib is coupled to another end of the mast. A connector is coupled to the jib. A hoist is coupled to a platform and includes a drive and a rope. An end of the rope is wound about the drive. Another end of the rope is coupled to the connector. The drive is configured to rotate relative to the platform in a first direction to decrease a distance between the platform and an end of the jib and to rotate relative to the platform in an opposite second direction to increase the distance between the platform and an end of the jib. Systems and methods of use are provided.

Remote-controlled shingle installation jack

The shingle installation jack devices may be mounted once at a first roof level, providing support for the walk board. When installation or repair of the shingles is complete at the first level of the roof, the shingle installation jack devices may be operated in tandem to raise the level of the walk board to a second level of the roof. Shingle installation and/or repair may then be carried out at this second roof level without the need to re-mount the walk board supports at the second level. The shingle installation jack devices may also be run in reverse to lower the walk boards. The shingle installation device includes a frame and utilizes a winch motor to adjust the effective length of a cable and thus adjustably raise or lower the walk boards to any desired roof level.

An improved bridge overhang bracket assembly may include top, diagonal and side members. A hanger element may be mounted to the top member and pivotally attached proximate to the top end of the side member. The hanger element may be translatable along the top member for adjusting its longitudinal position, to vary the positions of the diagonal and side members quickly and easily, without disassembly, and may enable folding of the members to a shipping/storage position. A second hanger element may be mounted to the top member for attaching the assembly to a tie rod. The diagonal member may include at least one connection tab for receiving a bolt to connect the top and diagonal members together in the shipping/storage position. Also disclosed is a fastener assembly for securing a side rail to a T-bolt channel.
