There is provided a railing post adaptor for a roof support apparatus. The roof support apparatus comprises an elongate member having a plurality of longitudinal sides. The railing post adaptor comprises a roof support apparatus connector for securing the railing post adaptor to the roof support apparatus. The roof support apparatus connector comprises a first connection portion arranged to engage, in use, with a first set of the plurality of longitudinal sides, and a second connection portion, movably mounted to the first connection portion and arranged to engage, in use, with a second set of the plurality of longitudinal sides, the second set being different from the first set. The roof support apparatus connector further comprises a railing connection portion extending from the roof support apparatus connector for detachably securing a proximal end of a railing post to the roof support apparatus via the railing post adaptor. The first set and the second set each comprise at least two longitudinal sides. The first connection portion and the second connection portion are together configured to substantially prevent rotation of the railing post adapter about a longitudinal axis of the elongate member by engagement with the first set and second set of longitudinal sides.

A standing seam mounting bracket and a method of using two or three to provide attachment points along a standing seam roof is provided. The standing seam mounting brackets enable complementary use of commonly-owned equipment for enabling roof maintenance and construction. The standing seam mounting brackets may be used in concert with roof jacks, roof ladders, scaffolding members and the like that are commonly owned by most contractors so as to facilitate safe and easy horizontal and vertical movement along the sloped roof.

Pump Jack Wedge Device

The device is comprised of at least one, generally, triangular-shaped wedge comprised of at least one opening to accept a pole of a pump jack post system or another scaffolding system used for working on angled roofs or other pitched exterior surfaces. Furthermore, the wedge is comprised of at least one mounting plate that secures the wedge to at least one roof or other exterior surface. The wedge may be a plurality of dimensions able to accommodate varying roof or other exterior surface pitches known in the art.

Roof workman's utility box

A roofer's utility box includes non-rectangular sides angled downward from one end of the box to the other, defining a substantially trapezoidal box. Retractable leveling legs disposed on its downhill face extend below the box bottom to enable leveling its top surface. Roof anchors and a ridge tether on the uphill end, and a safety brace on the downhill end, secure the box in place. Lifting and towing handles cooperate with retractable castors to facilitate positioning the box. Masts extending upward from the box's downhill end, and a yard arm spanning between them, support a walkway plank to create temporary scaffolding supported by the box. A variety of exterior utility devices attach to the box and scaffolding masts, including trays, cutting and clamping surfaces and electrical and pneumatic outlets for use with power tools. The box interior may be fitted with an ice chest and/or sliding trays for convenient storage.

A device for use in securing a ladder to a roof for use in attaching roofing panels to the roof or for inspecting panels. The device includes a main body portion having a bottom floor having a plurality of corrugation openings formed therethrough, the corrugation openings sized and configured to straddle corrugations of roofing panels while allowing the bottom floor to lie substantially flat on the panel. A plurality of fastener openings are functionally associated with the bottom floor for use in selectively securing and detaching the main body portion to the roof using roofing fasteners. In embodiments attachment member chambers contain attachment members slidably disposed therein for use in attaching the device to a roof. Methods of using the devices for installing roofing panels and inspecting panel roofs are included.
