A safety rail for a flatbed trailer including a track that is engaged adjacent an edge of the flatbed trailer and a plurality of post holder assemblies engaged with the track. The post holder assemblies are selectively movable along the track between an operational position and a storage position. When the safety rail is in the operational position, the post holder assemblies are spaced a distance apart from each other and, when in the storage position, the post holder assemblies are in tongue-and-groove interlocking engagement with each other. A post is engaged with each of the post holder assemblies and a cable is threaded through an aperture in each of the posts. The post holder assemblies include one or more wheels which engage the track and roll therealong as the safety rail is moved between the operational and storage positions.

The present disclosure relates to systems and methods involving collapsible guardrails. An example system includes a top rail, a mid rail, an enclosure, and at least two posts. Each post includes an upper primary member, a lower primary member, an upper secondary member, and a lower secondary member. The upper primary member and the lower primary member are slidably coupled to at least one slot in the mid rail. The upper secondary member is rotatably coupled to the upper primary member and the lower secondary member is rotatably coupled to the lower primary member. The upper primary member is further coupled to the top rail and the lower primary member is coupled to the enclosure.

An elevated worker support platform includes a main platform and an extension assembly having a longitudinal sliding extension frame and an upwardly folding extension platform supported on the extension frame to provide a rigid underlying support to the extension platform while also enabling the platform to be supported at the same elevational as the main platform. A railing for use alongside the extension assembly may also be formed of rigid sections that are foldable so that the railing can extend and retract with the extension platform. The main platform may be formed in sections spanning between upright columns in which cradles formed on the top of each column receive the platform section securely and in proper alignment therein until fasteners can more securely attach the platform sections to the columns.

A post for a temporary safety rail system comprising a base for reversible engagement with a floor, a rail holder to hold a rail in reversibly fixed engagement with the post and a plurality of components which are together operable to adjust the height of the post.

The claimed invention relates to a folding utility scaffold that greatly reduces the space requirement for shipment when the utility scaffold is in the folded configuration while maintaining or increasing stability. The scaffold includes first and second ladder frames and a hinge assembly interconnecting the ladder frames. The scaffold comprises first and second ladder frames and a hinge assembly interconnecting the ladder frames. The hinge assembly enables movement of the scaffold between an unfolded configuration in which the ladder frames are spaced apart and a folded configuration in which the ladder frames are disposed side by side, i.e., with the ladder frames touching. The ladder frame and hinge assembly are designed to avoid interference between components of the hinge assembly and components of the ladder frame in the folded configuration so that the ladder frames can be disposed in side-by-side relation in the folded configuration.
