Bracket for positioning and protecting pipes in concrete

A bracket holds a rigid or flexible tube during the pouring of a concrete slab. The bracket has a base and a housing connected to the base. The tube curves around a first tube support on the housing before passing through an opening in the bottom of the housing. The tube and any members inside the tube are cut off so they end inside the housing and are then covered by a housing cap. The base is fastened to a form for the concrete slab. The height of the housing relative to the base is adjusted to place the cap at the planned surface of the concrete slab. After the concrete slab is formed the cap is removed and the cut members inside the housing are connected to other members or devices.

Telescoping sleeve assembly with locking components

A sleeve assembly is provided comprising an inner tubular member and at least one outer sleeve that receives at least a portion of the inner tubular member. The outer sleeve may longitudinally telescope with the inner tubular member to move between a non-expanded position and at least one expanded position. In some embodiments, the inner tubular member comprises a first locking component and the at least one outer sleeve comprises a second locking component that interlocks with the first locking component to secure the outer sleeve in the non-expanded position and/or at least one expanded position. Related methods for making a sleeve assembly are also provided.

Blockout assembly for supporting conduits through concrete panels

A blockout apparatus, for use in creating passageways through prefabricated concrete structural members, has at least one hanger members integrally molded with the blockout apparatus as a dome projecting above the body of the blockout member that can be used to support conduits inserted through the passageway. A wedge nut can be inserted into the hanger members and twisted to lock the wedge nut in place. The wedge nut can be installed before the blockout apparatus is positioned within the concrete form for the manufacture of the prefabricated concrete structural member, or after the concrete structural member has been formed. Typical usage of the blockout apparatus is to create passageways through the T-Beam of Double-T panels so that conduits can pass through the void corresponding to the blockout apparatus. Mounting devices that support the conduits can be engaged with the wedge nut and provide support for one or multiple conduits.

A system includes a lead-sleeve coupled to a platform. The platform attaches to a sheet metal having alternating peaks and valleys, and the platform includes a block-out component that conforms to a valley of the sheet metal. The system also includes an indicator system coupled to a cap of the lead-sleeve, where the indicator system protrudes through the concrete after the concrete is poured and solidified around the lead-sleeve.

ISOLATION POCKET FORM AND METHOD FOR MAKING CRACK RESISTANT CONCRETE SLABS

A pocket isolator form, for placement around a footer before a concrete slab is poured, is formed from plural barrier sections. At least some of the sections are curved, so that a sharp re-entrant corned is not formed in the concrete slab. The curved sections may be assembled with straight sections to form barriers of various form shapes which avoid the creation of sharp re-entrant corners in the slab.

Extendable sleeve for poured concrete deck

An improved cap and assembly is provided for a poured concrete deck. The improved assembly has a diaphragm seal over-molded to a top plate having a depending sidewall that is snap-fit to a base containing a fire ring. A tubular sleeve is connected to the over-molded top plate by snap fit connections to the sidewall and by threaded fasteners passing through sockets in the sleeve, sidewall and base. The over-molded diaphragm has a funnel shape. A first sleeve cap has depending positioning tabs that may be broken off to adjust the cap height relative to the sleeve, with an inwardly extending latching surface engaging the sleeve when the tabs are removed. A second cap has inwardly extending tabs that fit into channels on the sleeve fit between ridges on the sleeve when rotated to adjustably position the second cap on the sleeve.
