COMPOSITE CONDUIT FORMWORK STRUCTURE AND METHOD OF FABRICATION
The disclosure presents a composite conduit formwork structure which includes a cylindrical outer casing adapted to bond with a cylindrical inner casing which are maintained at a fixed distance apart by a plurality of radial stanchions. The inner casing and outer casing form an interior void which is filled with concrete during manufacture. The outer casing and inner casing remain in place to protect the structure once completed. A novel method of assembly is also provided whereby radial stanchions are rotated between the outer casing and inner casing. All of the components in a preferred embodiment are formed of a fiberglass material.
Secure holding spacer units for permanent formworks
The instant invention provides a secure holding spacer unit to be used when assembling permanent stay-in-place formworks, also known as “permanent stay-in-place molds”, which are commonly used for the construction of concrete structures by putting together two boards or panels held together by a series of holding spacer units that are securely attached or hold to the surfaces of the cement panels by fastening means that pass through the width of the panels. The holding spacer units are selectively distributed within the internal cavity of the formwork and are attached to the panels, and are designed so that the panels remain permanently attached to the units of the spacers, to restrict the outward movement of said panels when pouring the concrete mix in the unit, which results in a permanent formwork with smooth exterior surfaces.
Tie rod for concrete forming system and related method of making
A method of forming one or more tie rods that includes flattening a main body of a wire in a first selected plane to form a flattened main body, further flattening selected portions of the flattened main body in a second plane perpendicular to the first plane to form one or more break back regions, and then passing the wire through a punch press machine to form one or more coined regions in one or more ends of the wire, thus forming the tie rod.
IMPROVEMENTS IN FORMWORK
A collapsible formwork element, the element including: a pair of opposing side wall panels; and at least one connector member extending between the side wall panels, wherein the formwork element is movable between an expanded configuration, wherein the opposing panels are spaced apart, and a collapsed configuration, wherein the opposing panels are relatively closer together.
Seal for a lead-through for a tie rod through a panel formwork element
A seal for a lead-through for a tie rod through a panel formwork element. The seal includes a sleeve, a sealing element and a sliding tube, which are disposed on the tie rod and, together with the tie rod, are placed through the panel formwork element from a rear side, so that the sealing element exits the panel formwork element on a front side and, after brief pulling back of the tie rod, provides sealing between the sleeve and the panel formwork element, for one-sided anchoring.
Telescoping sleeve assembly with locking components
A sleeve assembly is provided comprising an inner tubular member and at least one outer sleeve that receives at least a portion of the inner tubular member. The outer sleeve may longitudinally telescope with the inner tubular member to move between a non-expanded position and at least one expanded position. In some embodiments, the inner tubular member comprises a first locking component and the at least one outer sleeve comprises a second locking component that interlocks with the first locking component to secure the outer sleeve in the non-expanded position and/or at least one expanded position. Related methods for making a sleeve assembly are also provided.
FORMWORK BRACE
In summary the invention described herein is broadly directed to a module for forming a reinforced concrete structure comprising (a) a formwork member that defines a cavity, (b) a reinforcement structure in the cavity, and (c) at least one formwork brace interconnecting the formwork member and the reinforcement structure.
Concrete form tie, and concrete formwork comprising same
A tie for a concrete formwork comprises: a tie anchor configured to be embedded in a block of insulating material, the tie anchor having a first connecting feature accessible from a concrete-facing surface of the block; and a tie member having a second connecting feature configured to connect to the first connecting feature of the tie anchor. The tie member has at least one connector for connecting to an abutting tie member.
Concrete form tie rod puller
A tie rod puller including a pull housing, a clutch assembly and a clutch assembly housing is disclosed. The tie rod puller accelerates the process of pulling tie rods and installing key plates. The pulling of tie rods better secures the panels of a structure under construction to improve the integrity of a structure. The clutch assembly movably rotates a nut as a tie rod is being installed. The clutch assembly includes a stopper to prevent the nut from moving too far back. The clutch assembly is to hold and move a tie rod upon pulling of the tie rod and installing a key plate onto a wall. The clutch assembly housing includes a plate, which receives a key plate with a magnet. The plate includes brackets to stabilize the tie rod puller. The tie rod puller is preferably operated by automatic means such as by an impact drill.
Concrete forming system and method of assembling
A concrete form assembly that includes a shaping assembly with a number of generally planar panels, and, a retaining assembly with a number of whaler clamp assemblies and a number of whaler cleat assemblies.
