Lifting of building units
There is disclosed a lifting attachment for a building unit comprising sheeting and a support structure over which the sheeting is disposed, the attachment being configured such that it can be connected to or integrated into the support structure and comprising a lifting anchor that, when the attachment is so connected or integrated, is engageable by a component for lifting the unit such that a releasable interconnection between the component and the support structure passes through an opening in the sheeting.
Concrete reinforcement assembly
There is proposed a reinforced concrete structure comprising a reinforcement assembly embedded therein, the reinforcement assembly including first and second lengths of chain, wherein the first and second lengths of chain being pretensionable prior to forming the concrete structure. The reinforcement assembly includes pretensionable member/s and/or resiliently deformable member/s intermediate of at least one tetherable end of the lengths of chain and a mounting block or link member.
PLATE ASSEMBLY FOR REMOVING A SECTION OF UNDERLYING SUBSTRATE
Method and apparatus for lifting and removing substrate, such as a cut section from an underlying concrete slab. A plate assembly has a planar support plate and a u-shaped support bracket extending therefrom. The support plate is placed onto the section to be removed. The support bracket has adjoining first, second and third web portions to define an interior channel above the support plate. First and second apertures extend through the support plate on opposing sides of the support bracket and are used to secure the support plate to the cut section using attachment mechanisms such as anchor bolts. A lifting mechanism such as a fork lift inserts a fork through the interior channel to lift the plate assembly and cut section. The interior channel may be contoured to facilitate centering of the fork during lifting and movement of the plate assembly and the cut section.
BUILDING UNIT AND BUILDING
A building unit constitutes part of a two or more story building. The building unit includes: a first unit that is pre-assembled somewhere other than at a building site and constitutes one of a plurality of floors; a second unit that is pre-assembled somewhere other than at the building site and constitutes a floor above the first unit out of the plurality of floors; and a space path (upper and lower floor air circulation duct that spatially communicates with the first unit and the second unit.
Narrow Edge Lifting Insert
A lifting insert, particularly for embedment in the edges of thin concrete elements is disclosed. The insert has a head at one end which has a through aperture for the connection of a co-operating lifting link and another end for embedment within the concrete. The head of the insert has an interior region bounded on each side by an exterior region which extends to the longitudinal edges of the insert. The exterior region is thicker than the interior region and the boundary between the two regions defines an abutment surface. The thickness and width of the interior region is dimensioned to allow the lifting link to be connected to the head of the insert and the thickness of the outer region is dimensioned so as to restrict the rotation of the lifting link when a load is applied normal to the axis of the insert, and to effectively transfer the load by a couple developed across the full cross-section of the insert e.g. when tilting the concrete element from a horizontal position to a vertical position.
FIXTURE FOR SCAFFOLDING PLATE
A fixture for scaffolding plates configured to fix two adjacent scaffolding plates onto a pipe, having: a sideways U-shaped holding member; a press plate; and a bolt. An upper portion of the holding member has a thread receiving part configured to threadedly receive the thread portion of the bolt. The upper face of the press plate has a central face through which the bolt penetrates, an ascending face that ascends from the central face to an outer side, and a descending face that descends from the ascending face to an outer circumferential edge of the press plate. An altitudinal position of the head of the bolt is set to be substantially the same as or lower than an altitudinal position of the upper face of the press plate that is a connecting line between the ascending face and the descending face, thereby improving safety.
Method and apparatus for casting prefabricated concrete products
Method and apparatus for casting prefabricated concrete products with a substantially horizontal slipform casting process, where the concrete mass is fed in at least one feeding stage to a slipform casting mold compacting and defining the product to be cast, wherein at least one part is embedded in the concrete mass after the at least one concrete mass feeding stage and before the final compaction of the upper surface of the product to be cast.
Lifting and leveling assembly for precast concrete slabs and method
A lifting and leveling assembly configured to be embedded in a precast concrete slab for lifting a leveling a precast concrete slab includes a base plate, a threaded sleeve, an anchor plate, a thread protecting sleeve, a threaded lifting bolt and an end cap. Rotating the threaded lifting bolt in a first direction positions a bolt head on the threaded lifting bolt above a top surface of a precast concrete slab to accommodate the attachment of a lifting device. Rotating the threaded lifting bolt in a second direction positions the bolt head beneath the top surface of the concrete slab and causes the threaded shaft to exert a force on the base plate to level the precast concrete slab.
Modular building units, and methods of constructing and transporting same
A lower connector includes a lower connector hollow body, a pair of lower connector bosses coupled to the lower connector hollow body, and a pair of lower connector arms coupled to the lower connector bosses. A connector assembly includes an upper connector coupled to a lower connector and a gusset plate sandwiched between the upper and lower connectors.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MAKING POLYMER CONCRETE
Resin-based structures for use in corrosive environments. The resin-based structures may include a mixture of resin and aggregate. The resin-based structures may be formed in a mold by placing aggregate and resin into the mold. The resin-based structures may have thin wall design with high compression and tension strength.
