METHODS AND APPARATUSES FOR CURING CONCRETE
20190022893 · 2019-01-24 · ·

An apparatus for curing concrete includes a multiple layer polyolefin film and an absorbent layer. The polyolefin film layer can include pH modifying components and antiskid components. The absorbent layer can also include pH modifying components. The absorbent layer can include nonwoven fabric. The apparatus can be applied to curing concrete after hydration water is applied to the curing concrete. The apparatus can also be used to enclose poured concrete members during transport of the members so as to continue the curing process during transport. The film can also be used as a barrier layer between the ground and poured concrete.

CONCRETE RUNWAYS, ROADS, HIGHWAYS AND SLABS ON GRADE AND METHODS OF MAKING SAME

The invention comprises a method of forming a slab on grade. The method comprises placing a first layer of insulating material horizontally on the ground and placing plastic concrete for a slab on grade on the first layer of insulating material. The plastic concrete is then formed into a desired shape having a top and sides. A second layer of insulating material is placed on the top of the plastic concrete and the first and second layers of insulating material are left in place until the concrete is at least partially cured. The second layer of insulating material is then removed. The product made by the method is also disclosed. A slab on grade is also disclosed.

Flex-Cure Pneumatically Applied Wet Blanket

A method of curing concrete beginning with the acquisition of seedless hydro mulch material and incorporating the material into a material spraying device, mixing the material with water in the spraying device and spraying the material and water onto the surface of curing concrete. The spraying device includes a spray nozzle and pressurized air is introduced into the spray nozzle prior to the spraying of the material and water onto the curing concrete. The pressurized air may be provided to the spray nozzle at an air pressure of equal to or greater than 35 psi and less than or equal to 75 psi.

Edge overlay for layered insulative blanket

A heavy duty layered blanket having application in construction applications is disclosed. It includes an overlay around one or more edges of the blanket which resists tearing and wear. The overlay helps to assure that the layers of the blanket stay in place when placed in use, especially in heavy duty construction applications such as for curing concrete. Selective openings in the overlay facilitate attachment of multiple blankets to each other and related facilities, such as scaffolding.
