Containment shroud system

An apparatus and method for the containment of vertical structures using a flexible, collapsible, and movable shroud. The shroud containment system protects the surrounding environment by catching liquid and solid debris and contaminants from the inside and protects the enshrouded structure and workers from wind, debris, contaminants, and precipitation on the outside as well as providing enhanced protection against falling persons and equipment. The shroud also conceals the vertical structure in whole or in part and greatly eases the setup, takedown, and relocation of the shroud along the axis of the vertical structure due to its modular, impermanent design and method of erection, collapse, and translation.

Frames or supporting temporary coverings. The frames include a coupler, a base tube, a spine tube, and a shoulder tube. The coupler is configured to selectively couple to a fixed structure. The base tube is coupled to the coupler. The spine tube is nested within the base tube and is configured to selectively telescope relative to the base tube. The shoulder tube is mounted to the spine tube and extends transverse to the spine tube between a first shoulder end and a second shoulder end. In some examples, the frame includes one or more of a first arm tube and a second arm tube. In certain examples, the frame includes one or more of a first arm fastener, a second arm fastener, and a spine fastener. In some examples, frame includes a pivot mechanism.

Tensioned sheet wall system for a building

A wall system for forming a weather enclosure across a building opening in the frame of a building includes a flexible sheet of flexible material, a first rigid frame member secured across a first end of the flexible sheet, and a second rigid frame member secured across the flexible sheet in proximity to an opposing second end of the sheet. The first rigid frame remember is fixedly mounted on the building frame. A tensioning assembly is operatively connected between the second rigid frame member and the building frame so as to apply tension in the longitudinal direction to a portion of the flexible sheet. The tensioning between rigid frame members spanning across opposing ends of the sheet ensures that the sheet can be supported under significant tension throughout the sheet to enable the sheet to withstand considerable wind and precipitation loads.

A support assembly for a rooftop shade system is provided. The support assembly includes a plate defining a plurality of parallel, angled slots that extend inward from one edge of the plate. The support assembly also includes a pole that is operatively connected to the plate such that the angle formed between the plate and the pole is selectively variable. The pole terminates at a pin that is insertable through a grommet on a tarp to thereby support the tarp.

Heat shrink covering of built structures and method

A system for providing covers for surface areas of built structures; the system including a film of heat shrinkable material for stretching and heat shrinking over one or more of the surfaces of the built structure; the film formed as a sheet comprising an assembly of lengths of the heat shrinkable material prepared on a supporting surface; characterized in that the sheet is prepared by applying heat to overlap portions between adjoining lengths of the heat shrinkable material while the overlap portions are secured in contact between the supporting, surface and a guide rail assembly laid over the overlap portions; the overlap portions welded together by a heat gun moveable along the guide rail assembly at a predetermined distance above the overlap portions.
