Concrete structure repaired and reinforced using textile grid reinforcement and highly durable inorganic binder and method of repairing and reinforcing the same

Provided are a concrete structure repaired and reinforced using a textile grid reinforcement and a highly durable inorganic binder and a method of repairing and reinforcing the same, capable of easily repairing and reinforcing an old concrete structure by adhering a textile grid reinforcement, which is coated with a coating material to improve adhesiveness, to the old concrete structure and by adhering a textile grid reinforcement selectively using a highly durable inorganic binder having chloride penetration resistance performance or chemical resistance performance according to a use environment and a reinforcement purpose, that is, by adhering a textile grid reinforcement using an inorganic binder such as cement in place of an organic adhesive. Further, the concrete structure has excellent refractory performance because both the textile grid reinforcement such as a carbon fiber and the highly durable inorganic binder are incombustible materials, and can be effectively applied to reinforcing facilities exposed to the danger of fire.

An adjustable hole cover including an underside with one or more channels extending radially from the center of the cover to the outer edge. A row of apertures extends from the upper side into each of the channels. Retaining clips in each of the channels allow for adjustment of the cover to fit a wide range of hole sizes. The retaining clips include a base leg for sliding engagement with a channel and a second leg substantially orthogonal to the base leg. The base leg may be secured into one of the cover apertures to secure the retaining clip to the cover. Orientation of the retaining clip within the channel may be reversed to fit the cover to holes of a wide range of sizes. A reference scale on the underside of the cover allows for precise sizing to fit the hole diameter.

METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR RESTORING, REPAIRING, REINFORCING AND/OR PROTECTING STRUCTURES USING CONCRETE

Methods are provided for repairing an existing structure to cover at least a portion of the existing structure with a repair structure. Such methods comprise mounting one or more standoff retainers to the existing structure; coupling one or more standoffs to the standoff retainers such that the standoffs extend away from the existing structure; coupling one or more cladding panels to the standoffs such that the panels are spaced apart from the structure to provide a space therebetween; and introducing a curable material to the space between the panels and the existing structure, the panels acting as at least a portion of a formwork for containing the curable material until the curable material cures to provide a repair structure cladded, at least in part, by the panels. Corresponding apparatus for effecting such methods are also provided.

A structural crack repair apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus includes at least one staple having an elongated torque plate, a pair of reinforcing rods and a pair of rotatable cam members provided on the torque plate and engaging the respective cam members. According to the method, the reinforcing rods are inserted in rod apertures provided in the surface on opposite sides of the crack. The cam members are selectively rotated to cause radial displacement of the reinforcing rods with respect to a geometric center of the cam members to cause tight engagement of the reinforcing rods with the interiors of the rod apertures.

Layered apparatus and method

Aspects of the disclosure are directed to apparatuses and/or methods involving a wall patch. As may be implemented in accordance with one or more aspects characterized herein, a wall patch has a plurality of layers including a base layer having an upper surface and a lower surface, and stacked layers stacked over the upper surface of the base layer. Each stacked layer is stacked on one of the other layers and has an exposed lower surface region that extends laterally beyond the layer upon which it is stacked. Adhesive may operate to adhere the exposed lower surface regions and the lower surface of the base layer may be adhered to a wall surface. The stacked layers, base layer and adhesive to provide a gradient defined by the thicknesses of the layers and adhesive, and defined by the area of the exposed lower surface regions of the stacked layers.

Method and apparatus to fill and fire proof holes in concrete floors
09909330 · 2018-03-06 ·

The present apparatus and method relates in general to sealing a hole in a floor with a precast plug. A precast plug is created by pouring a wet aggregate mix into a form mold and thereafter inserting a pre formed rod into the uncured mixture, positioning it such that the center of the rod rests in the center of the form mold and the ends of the rod extend outward near the top of the form mold. The mix is then cured. The precast plug may then be transported to the hole that it is destined to fix. Grooves may be carved on either side of the hole to accommodate the rod's ends. The interior of the hole and the exterior of the plug may then be covered with a sealant, after which the plug may be inserted into the hole. Once the sealant cures, the hole is fully repaired.
