Cementitious-filler/coating repair system for commercial and residential panelized roofs

The Invention is a filler/coating system with multiple formulations and mixtures designed to profile roof substrates in optimizing water shed drainage characteristics. These mixtures have a weight that is 50% of the weight of water. This weight reduction reduces the load on the existing roofing elements and allows for the optimized profiling of the slope of a roof without increasing the weight on the existing roof elements/members, this objective is met by the displacement of the water that normally fills and sits in the sagging ponding areas of a weakened and deteriorated roofing structure. The existing roofing elements need not be removed, torn off or repaired, as this system is designed to be an overlay filler/coating system that provides an ideal profiling slope of the roofs substrate for the application of a new water tight roofing membrane system to then be applied.

Systems and methods for drying roofs

Roof drying processes and associated systems. A representative process includes drawing moisture-laden air from within the internal structure of a roof via a vacuum blower, a extraction insert and an extraction manifold, and removing moisture from the moisture-laden air via a dehumidifier. The dry air can be directed back into the roof through an injection insert and an injection manifold.

Impregnated cloth

A knitted spacer fabric has a tightly knitted bottom layer, a more loosely knitted upper layer and linking fibres extending across the space between the lower and upper faces. Settable material, e.g. cement, is introduced into the space between the upper and lower faces and can be caused to set by the addition of a liquid, e.g. water. Until set, the fabric is flexible and can be shaped but after the material in space has set, the fabric is rigid and can be used as a structural element in a wide range of situations. The bottom layer has an extension that extends beyond the upper face and is connected to the upper face by elastic connecting fibres that draw the extension towards the other face, thereby at least partly closing the space at the edge of the cloth and preventing the settable material from spilling out. In addition, the packing of the settable material and maximum space between the faces are such that only a predetermined amount of liquid can be accommodated within the space and that amount is matched to the water required to set the cement.

Roof inspection and repair device

A roof inspection and repair device is disclosed that can be wheeled along a roof to identify loose shingles and dispense the sealant necessary to secure them in place. The roof inspection and repair device has both a blowing system and a sealant dispensing system. The blowing system may include an air tube having an air tube inlet that can be connected to a blower and an air tube outlet. The sealant dispensing system may include one or more sealant storage containers connected to a sealant dispenser by one or more sealant tubes. The roof inspection and repair device may further include a shingle lift mechanism.

ROOF REPAIR DRONE

An aerial drone for repairing holes or punctures in a membrane on a roof, wherein the aerial drone includes at least one camera for recording a section of the membrane, a 3D printer adapted to print onto the section of the membrane, wherein the 3D printer is controllable wirelessly from a different altitude and/or the ground.

Computer-Assisted Shingle Sawing Method and Installation

A computer-assisted shingle sawing method for recovery optimization using a 0-1 defect relative to the clear line, comprising the steps of taking an image of a next slab to be cut from a wood block; defining from that image, a clear line there-across; and locations of defect on that slab relative to the clear line, determining edge lines of shingles recoverable from the slab according to optimal shingle grade recovery; sawing the next slab along these edge lines, and sawing the next slab from the wood block, thereby releasing an optimum recovery of shingles from the slab. In another aspect there is provided a method for shingle recovery optimization using an optimization by inversion strategy, wherein the inclination of a parting line for cutting the next slab from the wood block is determined for optimal shingle grade recovery. There is also provided an installation for carrying out these methods.

Detecting and repairing damage to building materials

Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium for receiving an indication of damage to a building from a sensor network associated with the building, where the sensor network is responsive to damage to the building. Determining a location and an extent of the damage to the building based on the indication of damage. Automatically coordinating a repair for the damage in response to determining the location and the extent of the damage.

Methods for Rehabilitating and/or Remediating Roofing Materials

This invention, in embodiments, relates to a method of rehabilitating or remediating a roofing material that includes obtaining a roofing material and obtaining a coating composition comprising a polymeric resin and a carrier. The coating composition is (i) substantially free of water and (ii) in the form of a liquid at at least 23? F. The method further includes applying the coating composition to the roofing material to prepare a coated roofing material, and exposing the coated roofing material to a reaction generator to polymerize the coating composition and thereby solidify the coating composition on the coated roofing material.

An adjustable roofing scaffold system comprising a plurality of scaffold members with attached platform support structures, a hooking feature, and at least one scaffold platform configured to be attached to the plurality of scaffold members. Wheels may also be attached to each scaffold member to facilitate movement and adjustment of the system. The scaffold members may also be configured to form ladder-like structures with coupled guiderails for a user. The system may be assembled by coupling a hooking feature to the scaffold member, the scaffold member positioned upon a roof, the platform support structures attached to the scaffold member, and the platform members attached between scaffold members to complete the system. The system may be assembled, adjusted, and disassembled in various combinations, with each component capable of being removed from the rest.
