09695607 · 2017-07-04 · ·

A system, device, and method for plugging core holes. A core hole plug includes a top compression plate, a bottom compression plate, and a rubber expansion ring that separates the top and bottom compression plates. A beveled screw hole can be created on the top compression plate. The beveled screw hole matches the angle of the bottom surface of the head of a flat head bolt to ensure that the bolt remains flush with the top compression plate. The rubber expansion ring can be squeezed between the top and bottom compression plates as the flat head bolt is screwed into a threaded receiver nut formed on the bottom compression plate. An installation tool can be utilized to install the core hole plug so that the top compression plate remains flush with an existing floor surface.

A method and device for holding a subsurface layer of an elevated flooring portion of a floor structure at a distance from a subfloor in a vicinity of an opening in the flooring portion during a process of drying the floor structure. According to the invention there is provided at least one rod having a substantially perpendicularly angled end. The rod is inserted below the subsurface layer through the opening and the angled end of the rod is attached to an edge of a surface layer in the opening of the flooring portion in a manner that the rod supports the subsurface layer at said distance from the subfloor when the flooring portion is elevated.

CONCRETE AND MASONRY RESTORATION AND ORNAMENTATION METHOD AND APPARATUS

A method for restoration of concrete and cementitious surfaces is provided which employs the determined positions of existing fissures in a concrete surface, along with channels to be formed into the concrete surface, to form an image or indicia in the concrete surface such as stone and grout lines. Either a manually drawn platform with a channel forming tool can be employed to move the tool along a pathway to form the channels, or a self-propelled platform may be employed which is computer controlled to form the channels in the proper determined positions to yield the image in combination with the original fissures which are filled during the operation.

A method and arrangement for drying a water damaged sandwiched floor structure including a top concrete layer, an air permeable isolating layer and a concrete subfloor, comprising providing an air inlet opening and an air outlet opening through the concrete layer, and continuously in a closed loop flowing air through the isolating layer via the openings by a blower and a dehumidifier in serial connection. According to the invention the blower is a suction blower, whereby air is drawn from the outlet opening by the suction blower, and dry air is forced into the inlet opening by the dehumidifier.

Articulating medical stand

An inventive articulating medical stand comprises a lower horizontal support member, a vertical support member, an upper horizontal support member, a tray mounting member and an adhesive medical tray member. The vertical support member is connected to the lower horizontal support member and is capable of vertical height adjustment, and optionally axial rotational adjustment. One end of the upper horizontal support member is connected to the vertical support member and is capable of axial rotational adjustment. The tray mounting member is slideably connected to the upper horizontal support member and is capable of linear adjustment along the longitudinal length of the upper horizontal support member. The tray mounting member is also capable of angular rotational adjustment with respect to the longitudinal axis of the upper horizontal support member. The adhesive medical tray member is removably connected to the tray mounting member and comprises a releasably adhesive component for attachment of medical items. Accordingly, the articulating medical stand is configured such that the adhesive medical tray member can be adjusted through all axes of dimension.

Structural connector for tensioning floor joists and beams

A structural connector having a tensioning bolt constructed and arranged for receiving two tension rods, each tension rod being axially adjustable within the tensioning bolt. Each tension rods has ends, with one end being rounded and the other end having an external hex drive profile. The two rods are arranged so the rounded ends are opposite each other. The structural connector is used to provide tension between two adjacent joists and the rounded end of each tension rod is received by a round hole of a pair of mounting brackets attached to the adjacent joists. Each tension rod is locked into a set tensioned position by a threaded nut.

VERTICAL JOINT SYSTEM AND ASSOCIATED SURFACE COVERING SYSTEM

A vertical joint system for substrates is formed with joints which engage by relative motion in a direction perpendicular to major surfaces and of the substrate. The joints are configured to enable relative rotation of up to 3 degrees while maintaining engagement of the joints. The joints are further configured to form two locking planes one on each of the inner and outer most sides of the joint. Engagement about the locking planes is provided by transverse outward extending surfaces. At least one surface in each pair of engaging surfaces is smoothly curved. The joints can be further arranged to provide a third locking plane parallel to and between the locking planes. The joints are disengaged by combination of a downward rotation of one joint relative the other then application of a downward force.
