A modular foundation support system includes modular foundation support components including self-aligning and torque transmitting coupler features wherein a plurality of axially elongated ribs are aligned with a plurality of axially elongated ribs on a second distal end to rotationally interlocked the modular foundation support components to one another. First and second pair of fastener holes are self-aligning with one another to receive a fastener therethrough such that the fastener is mechanically isolated from rotational torque transmission.

METHOD FOR RAISING A FRAMED STRUCTURE

A method of raising a framed structure. The method comprises the steps of: supporting a roof structure of the framed structure, cutting a stud of the framed structure at a desired level, leaving a bottom portion of the stud in place, removing a top portion of the stud, raising the roof structure of the framed structure, installing a flooring structure on the bottom portion of the stud, building a wall structure using a second stud supported by and secured to the flooring structure, lowering the roof structure onto the wall structure, and securing the roof structure to the wall structure. The method also allows for the leveling of the framed structure without modifications to the foundation. The method further allows for newly raised structures to have higher ceilings and modified floor plans without changes to the foundation.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DRIVING A PILE INTO THE GROUND BEFORE LIFTING AND STABILIZING THE FOUNDATION OF A BUILDING
20200087882 · 2020-03-19 ·

Described are an apparatus and method for driving piles prior to lifting and stabilizing foundations that have subsided in unstable ground. A press head, comprising two non-slip arms actuated by a safety lever, is connected to an angle cleat-type foundation piece secured to the foundation by a pair of hydraulic rams in order to drive the piles into the ground as far as the bedrock when the rams contract. The apparatus includes a safety system actuated by the lever for controlling the arms. In order to level the building, other hydraulic rams are installed on each driven pile, all connected in series in order that they may be actuated simultaneously in order to lift the building. When the foundations have been adequately raised and levelled, each pile and the corresponding angle cleat-type foundation piece, both made of steel, are welded in order to stabilize the foundations.

SUPPORT

A floor jack may include a base, and a threaded pillar threadingly coupled to the base. The threaded pillar may include a dome top surface. The floor jack may also include a pedestal. the pedestal may include concave portion, and the concave portion may include a mating curvature relative to the dome top surface of the threaded pillar.

Wall lifting methods

Methods of lifting structures such as a wall of a building. A fluid that is under pressure is injected beneath the base of the wall. The pressure of the injected fluid acts against the base of the wall to lift the wall vertically. In some embodiments, a supplemental lifting force mechanism can be attached to the wall to apply a supplemental lifting force to the wall that acts together with the lifting force applied by the injected fluid. The supplemental lifting force lightens the wall, reducing the amount of lifting force required to be applied to the wall by the injected fluid.

Method and apparatus for repairing a tilt wall construction

A method of repairing a tilt wall construction includes affixing a fixture at a bottom of the wall, installing a piling into the earth directly below the fixture, forming a support member having a link corresponding to a distance between the fixture and a head the piling, and affixing the support member to the fixture and to the head such that the piling supports the wall. The fixture is an angle member that is anchored to the wall. A plate is affixed onto a top surface of the head of the piling. The support member can include a pair of steel pipes that are welded at one end to the plate and an opposite end welded to the angle member.

Structure orientation using motor velocity

Aspects herein relate to using motor velocity as feedback for controlling the extension or retraction of jacks for control of the angular orientation of a structure, or other means for accomplishing the same. Embodiments include a structure orientation control apparatus comprising one or more jacks configured to support a structure, one or more jack drive mechanisms coupled to at least one of the one or more jacks, the one or more jack drive mechanisms configured to extend or retract the one or more jacks, and a jack controller configured to cause the one or more jack drive mechanisms to extend or retract the one or more jacks based on a jack command. The jack controller may be configured to monitor one or more jack velocities during extension or retraction.
